Overview of MatchGear

MatchGear (called Sticky at the time this video was made) is a smartwatch application for sports officials calling field hockey, indoor hockey, soccer, indoor soccer, and korfball. This video provides an overview of the application for field hockey and indoor hockey. I highly recommend the app. In addition to the purposes of the demonstration, I have used the application during indoor hockey tournaments. I have made recommendations to the developer for some additional features, that are discussed in the video.

I use Sticky for quite some time now, I only got to know now that you can give cards on the indoor mode with thr time still on

I think it would be very helpful to make a note of the players number when a card is given. It would also be particularly helpful to note what the offence was ie dissent, foul play, etc, then if this player commits the same offence on a second yellow card, the app should alert you to a 2nd yellow, red card offence. Otherwise the app looks great.

You can enter a player’s number. If you watch the video again you can see where it says ENTER SHIRT NUMBER (for cards and for goals) but I skipped right by that. It is absolutely better to enter the number and I should have included that. My bad!
