Wow thank you for the shout-out! I too have found several frames in the S-shape condition that you mentioned, and i too just grab it and use my foot to bend it back into shape😄 seems to do the job alright haha. I also use the straps on the shoulder pads the "wrong" way around so as to be able to use them as load lifters

Yeah, as I said in the video, I think it is actually supposed to be used that way with the improved LC2 shoulder straps. Hm, recently I've been checking my favorite surplus website since they have used ACU bivvy bag covers for the modular sleeping system for "only" 80€ for sale.. however looking further into it I found a seller offering complete used sets with new woodland bivvy bag covers for 230€. Definitely not a bargain, but considering mixing a new 60€ sleeping bag from aliexpress that has a duck downs filling with my old polyester one from my childhood and that 80€ bivvy bag cover to end up with a mix-and-match set that isn't water resistant (duck downs filled sleeping bags are ruined if they get wet) OR gifting myself the whole surplus set to my birthday that's coming up is keeping me busy now.. Naturally nobody needs three (or actually four PLUS bivvy bag) sleeping bags, however the full set would be original AND all water-proof. Nobody needs a dozen backpacks anyways, either.. :D

​@@ozzybwild nice one, my sleep system is also a mix and match with US woodland goretex bivvy and 1 or 2 sleeping bags (civilian, but military style) as they were the cheaper option compared to the full MSS, cause yeah the full kit is quite pricey..it all depends on the condition it's in though. And true, nobody needs a dozen packs or more, but i'm guilty of hoarding packs 😅 As long as i can find a new set-up i keep trying different combinations, and ALICE packs are great for the ability to change and customize according to your preference. Love these videos keep them coming Oz!

im a alice fan- 3 i own if you get spare time sir- check your back invertit inside out bottom pouch has 3 d rings and 3 pairs of paracord - its awsome- i converted into light pack - check it out on your packs medium

Thank you very much for the comment! I actually know that trick, too. I am waiting for a few additional backpacking parts to arrive, maybe I'll make a video about how to extend your pack from very small to large with addons? Might be worth a video. :)

@@ozzybwild no modification just the classic i like and conversion to light wieght back pack-if its the 4 th one its the oldstock but brand new. those i like to get. alice pack🤙🤙
