Overview of the Zontes ZT310-X

I rode this bike last month for 14 days, 3,500 kms or slightly more. I agree with you on the review. It is a great bike. I had a 310GS for a day and nothing to compare.

you know Zontes puts in alot of thoughts for this bike wen u see the popping fuel cap cover comes to a slow stop. the kind of refinement you'll find on high end bikes..

Do you know if the electric wrist band to start the bike can be replaced by a normal type key? I've read alot of comments in facebook in which the bike doesn't start because it doesn't recognize the wrist band key (even times in which its not a battery circumstance). I like the bike, it seems great for the cc....but, the electronic key type is a no-go for me.

Am am totally with on this. Keyless entry does not solve any problem. But this is not limited to Zontes. BMW, Harley, Triumph, Ducati, they are all following this trend. But to answer your question: no, you cannot replace it with a normal key. It is an integral part of the electronics.

I believe that chinese vehicles (cars and motorcycles) have grown in competitiveness and quality through the years, offering good products at a "great price point", and in that sense if you want to buy a new vehicle, its a great oportunity. But on the other side, they sometimes are lacking in reliabilty in some aspects don't have the best technology and sometimes indicating specs that dont really comply. It seems that quality control may be a negative point in some cases. Also, in some countries, depending on the rep-importer, the after sales service might be an issue, and is something to consider. Zontes is new in Chile, and the importer, though "being one of the biggest", is totally unstable, offering different chinese brands, and discontinuing some models in less than a year, which doesnt give us much confidence related to future service and spare parts. The people here in South Africa have absolute faith in their brand. I rode From Pretoria to The Northern Cape and on to Cape Town with a 310-T. A distance of roughly 1700 km. They did not hesitate to offer me the bike. So, I would say that these bike are reliable.

@@GearUpVideoReviews How does the 310-T perform off-road? Are the suspension soft enough for off-road or are they stiff?

@@xero5727 The 310-T is essentially a road bike so gentle off-road work is fine. I have been on some bad gravel roads and even thick sand with the T. The suspension can cope with it, but it rather on the soft side because these bikes are meant to be commuters, not enduro bikes. That said, Zontes has a version with spoked wheels and a larger front wheel. I am hoping to get my hands on one before the year is out.

@@BrianCheyne too bad the 19" spoked wheel with double swingarm isn't available in my country. I only have the 17" cast wheel with single swingarm.
