Disregard, I gave it a good guess! Thanks for the awesome idea! 🎉

I just totaled a JK that had this same setup, and I'm looking at doing the same for the JL I plan on buying. I like it. I keep the Hi Lift jack on all the time. Had a flat on an interstate last year and used the Hi Lift to swap on the spare. I was mainly looking to see if this tire carrier had a Hi Lift add-on, since I can't find one on Warn's site. Glad you pointed all that out.

Great vid. If you don't mind me asking does the swing gate have play in it before contacting the wear bars. Installed my this evening but am concerned with the play. The nut is nice and tight.

Great! Thank you for sharing. Do you know where I can get the hitch hook? the red one?

Do you know what the linkage is called that keeps the tire attached to the tailgate?

Any chance you could link me to pictures of the house you cut for the camera?

Looks good here. I ordered without the tire carrier. Any issues with spot rusting? I’ve considered getting this bumper custom powder coated prior to installation but it seems as though Warn has done a great job of treating this bumper.

Nope, I didn’t have any issues with rusting or anything. Granted I didn’t have it super long. My biggest gripe was the install.

Is there enough room to run BFG 39's (actual new 38.5") and still use the RotoPax?
@krazyk86cu3 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe so. I’m pretty sure 37 is the max size to fit the Rotopax with this tire carrier.

Were you able to transfer your reverse sensors from your plastic bumper and are they working with the new one?
@krazyk86cu4 жыл бұрын
So yes and no. This part is a real pain. You pretty much destroy the plastic bumper getting the sensors out. There also isn't any included way to mount the sensors from the plastic bumper to the new Warn bumper. I ended up using some JB Weld to hold mine in place. I kept them in the same orientation as they were in the OEM bumper but they do not work correctly and I ended up turning them off with my Tazer. The problem with this bumper and the sensors is that you may need to adjust them, but once you have this bumper installed, there is no way in hell you are going to take it back off again. Getting all the bolts to line up to install the bumper is a major pain in the ass. If you are going to try and make the sensors work, there are about 3 different parts for each sensor you need to make them fit correctly. Unless you don't mind JB Welding them like i did. haha.

@@krazyk86cu Thanks for responding. This is the issue that I've been working on in deciding on a bumper. For some reason on the plastic bumper when you remove the sensors you can't take off the bezel and bracket because they fused them for some reason. After a little more research I found the needed parts on Mopar. Here is the parts page (www.moparpartsinc.com/a/75682318__7573779/Rear-Bumper--Steel-Rear-Bumper/i2375590.html#23 ) I noticed that each bezel and bracket have a different part number not sure if there is a difference.

@@phillipbrossette1026 does the whole sensor assembly need to be replaced or just the sleeves for them? I heard part number is the same for both steel or plastic OEM bumper. Warn manual says sensors need to be replaced for plastic one.

Does it have somewhere to mount reverse lights underneath the bumper?
@krazyk86cu4 жыл бұрын
The bumper doesn’t unless you drill holes into. However, if you have the tow package with a hitch, there are some threaded tabs that will now be unused without the factory bumper. At lease on the plastic bumper. Not sure about the OEM steel bumper. I ended up mounting my Baja Designs S2s off of them.

Dude. Great review. And nice Jeep. Thanks for the detailed walk around. Is the powder coat finish similar to the rubi rock rails or the factory steel bumper? I have a factory front bumper and just want something to match. Would you say the warm is noticeably less bulky than stock?
@krazyk86cu4 жыл бұрын
Mike Halstead Thanks! Hard to say because mine came with a plastic bumper. It’s not a crinkle textured paint though. It’s smooth.

What size rotopax can is that?
@krazyk86cu3 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a 2 or 2.5 gallon. Whatever the smaller size size is. It would not fit the 3 gallon can
