I'm gonna be honest, it's like 1000x harder to do in Overwatch 2 because Blizzard is trying to push microtransactions for cosmetics. The best way to get free cosmetics would probably just to level up as much as you can in the free battle pass, do events and completing trophies for characters, because each trophy you complete for a character you either get a cute or pixel spray for them
