Because having a sojourn is pretty much required at high level play, a good sojourn takes games hostage. He just wants her balanced out so its not a required pick, and so the top tier sojourn players dont just win every game while sleeping at their computer

@@nate359dogg8 Man, this isn't overwatch league, they don't need to force mirror comp, if you are trash or diffed as that character, just try another strategy or you just deserve to lose because the enemy sojourn is better than you. META exists for a reason, when sojourn will be nerfed and another character will shine, everybody will blame that character and ask blizzard for a nerf, it is always been like this, you can never perfectly balance a game, that's why (again) META exists and basically it defines the differences between every ranked season.

You cant perfectly balance a game but when its glaringly obvious that a character is better than the rest then you have a problem. Im aware of meta and how it functions, but the character in question is meta in this specific circumstance because the character is obviously too good. Hes also playing in top 500, where there are PLENTY of sojourns good enough to make the game un-fun, she is blatantly over-tuned. You can fix a strategy around her but normally you dont need a whole team to counter pick one character. Sojourns kill potential is waaaaaay out of wack and it needs to be toned down. Games shouldn’t come down to “who has the better sojourn” and thats the problem, if the sojourn is good then they can essentially single-handedly kill an entire team without even needing their ultimate. Another issue is that there is no counter play, she doesnt have a single hard counter, so she can run wild unchecked. The only real “strategy” against sojourn is “everyone shoot sojourn so we can play the game”
