But it depends on the genre of game: In game like StarCraft II and some fighting games, both have extremely demanding APM and dexterity, but both can be overcome with experience. Especially in fighting games, Diago Umehara is a still dominant fighting game player despite being over 40. The reason Seagull is partially right, is that games like CS:GO, Valorant or Overwatch is where reflexes and minute precision is a huge advantage. This is the same with sports: Positions like goalkeeper in football or ...the guy kicks the ball in american football, aren't as physically demanding and instead experience and consistency reigns supreme. But the final point is that being young is a natural advantage - while that person might not have as much experience, they have other attributes which can still overcome the age gap. That's why these matchups are so interesting - skilled children play vastly differently than a skilled +30 year old.
