@@TIO_WIT Yup, if your player account is below level 5, you will be teamed agaisnt bots. "Well how do you level accounts?" - by play time, mostly. The more time a game takes, the more XP gained (with a 15,000 XP bonus for a victory.) Level 5 takes 280000 XP to achieve, so assuming an average match length of 15 minutes (Paladins takes a while) and if they're all victories (you're playing vs bots after all) you're looking at 18 games to get to level 5, or about five to six hours depending on how long it takes to get matches and select heroes.

On top of that anti heal builds throughout the match and so when max anti heal hits the supports still need a way to support the team, either with cc ults or dmg.

Lemme say , paladins is complicated in a lot of aspects , from decks to talents to characters and gimmicks , so if you want to keep going , check a guide on a character you like and try to master it , when you are decent with 1 character you can move to the next. Also , take note on how different characters play , like if they are more agressive or they prefer to stay on the back line. Try to learn the 4 roles and how to play them , damage and flank can be some of the easier ones , support and tank are a pain . Finally learn what anti healing is , how it works and remember that you can heal if your are out of combat for a while , this means not shooting anything or not getting shot at.

flanking is actually one of the hardest things to do properly, it's not generally that simple. I guess I would describe it as simple by itself but harder to master than other roles. That's why usually in ranked the higher elo player (first pick) tends to pick a flank.

For those thinking about playing paladins and want something similar to the character you play in OW, here are some characters that have similarities. But keep in mind none of them are exactly the same. Tracer - Koga (fast firing dual smg, high mobility) Reinhardt - Fernando (same banner shield, and a dash, but has a flamethrower) Reinhardt -Terminus (melee tank) Pharah - Drogoz (flying character with a rocket launcher) Soldier 76 - Viktor (dude with a gun that can run) Cassidy - Androxus (same six shooter style weapon but way more mobility) Reaper - Lex (dual wield pistols and an execution style ult) Junkrat - Betty La Bomba (identical weapons, lots of bombs, same bouncy movement) Widowmaker - Kinessa (sniper with a charged shot) Dva - Ruckus (both pilot a mech with mini guns) Sombra - Skye (only character that’s whole gimmick is going invisible) Ashe - Lian (Ranged marksman rifle playstyle) - Octavia (scoped marksman rifle that shoots faster when hip firing, has a jump similar to the coach gun Road hog - Makoa (both have a hook) Wrecking Ball - Yagorath (they both have a rolling form) Zarya - Torvald (both center around bubbles for themselves and team) Hanzo - Sha Lin (bow and arrow character lmao) Torbjorn - Barik (little man that places turrets, except barik is a tank) Genii - Vatu (dashes and throws kunai) - Caspain, Zhin (both have swords and mobility) - Maeve (throws daggers, can double jump and has a dash) Ramattra - Nyx (punching tanks with a shield and slow) I know these aren’t perfect comparisons but I was basing it off of weapon feel and concepts.

There is no finding a build for a character people ignore to make them viable and competitive. For example: Koga has long been considered out of the meta in Paladins until they recently enabled crossplay where controller characters with aim assist can be a menace with him. Yet I have a closely guarded build with him (not so much anymore since AndrewChicken covered it) that makes him even harder to deal with when someone plays him with KBM.

Just wanna let you know, paladins devs “Evil Mojo” are basically treated like shit by Hi-Rez. They barely have much of a budget to put towards the game. It’s so bad that (from my knowledge) they only have one guy working on maps and map development, for example. The entire team was already small about a year ago and somewhere within the last half year, the team was more or less cut in half and sent to work on other games. I don’t even think they have anywhere near 30 or even 25 devs on the game (I could totally be wrong tho). Hi-Rez isn’t even putting the money they get from paladins back into the game, they put a lot of it towards their other games. The game is also super buggy which earned it the nickname of “Bugadins” which I don’t blame the dev team for.

Just want to let you know, Kasumi got nerfed recently so if you miss an attack she gets locked in an animation, it feels horrible to play. The problem was that on release I believe it was a true auto aim, just hold down the trigger and anything that walk near your reticle is getting hit.

2:10 Seems like chat was trolling many times, like they did tell you to get Willo, and then buy Lethality item, lol. Willo is not a good recommendation for starters, and Lethality is meant mainly for Flanker class (Willo is Damage class). 5:37 Skye's smoke bomb is to be thrown for yourself to go invisible/heal/refill_ammo/speedup. Skye is one of the easiest to play, you need to go invisible, go behind enemy team, very close range, and you kill everyone instantly. 7:11 Saati requires skill? 7:29 Saati doesn't require skill. 7:44 her ult requires some skill+prediction, and you did great! Satisfying! 8:41 Kasumi is easy to play & too OP, but has been nerfed so hard, she's useless now. Upcoming updates they will rework some parts of her. I'd not compare OW to Paladins, they have similarities, but still 2 different games. Anyone may prefer one over the other, or can enjoy playing both.

No hate to you at all, but it always kinda sucks to me that any OW player that gives Paladins a try just HAS to shit on it in any way, ironically or not. Nobody from there seems to want to give the game a genuine try. Positive criticism is something that the game desperately needs in its current state but it's kinda depressing seeing it getting constantly knocked over "le Overwatch copy" accusation that realistically is not even correct instead of people giving it a genuine review. Paladins is like a really disgusting dirty gem. I've been a Paladins player for years and have played ow extensively before. In my opinion, Paladins is better. OW is just get gun, shoot. Paladins, you can tweak each champion and change their playstyle. you can have the same character on both teams, but both play differently since EVERY character has 3 talents. Take the champion victor for example. 1 talent let you selfheal while using his sprint, so you can go to enemies backlines, and harass while not having your healer worry about you. 1 talent lets you change his full-auto rifle into a 3 round burst, making it more accurate at the cost of rpm. The last talent increases his grenade explosion size but decrease the cook time, so you have to throw the grenade quick. I have seen people play victor and barely shoot their rifle because they're just chucking nades everywhere.

Now that OW fucked up and increased hitboxes etc. Paladins might be the better game. Deffo not as optimised, but way mpre unique. Each character has 3 talents, and fully customisable cards to increase specific abilities for loadouts. And then theres the item shop too, and theres a lot more characters. All the characters are way more unique too, both appearance wise and gameplay wise.

Either way, it's fine if you like OW2 more than Paladins, but it really sounds like you went into this game wanting to hate it and making no attempt to understand its mechanics.
