@@bre_me I agree with what rya says. What you're describing as "I HAVE to get every Mercy skin" is an example of sunk cost fallacy. It's very hard to stop spending money on something when you've already spent so much. Luckily, you can break out of this cycle by skipping on a Mercy skin. At that point your urges will start to decrease because even missing one skin from the collection will make the act of collecting more skins not as appealing. Once you stop buying new Mercy skins, you'll thank yourself for how much more money you have and you'll feel better about yourself for overcoming this weakness.

Don't forget that he has a powerful rightclick and can flee from battle if too scared. He is the most average hero in this game and should be tbh, just play CoD if you want to play Soldier 76 he's just there for newcomers as a comfort pick.

Its 50 for the first tier of a character skin and a weapon skin, and if the pass had 100, it would let you either get the bare minimum of both, which you could then spend more on in the future passes, or just full commit to the skin with the gold or whatever colours they add in the future.

Wow they destroyed Sombra. Not having invis unlimited is fine but it should be its own button. She might as well not have invis since most of the time. You're using TP to disengage. What's the rotation now? Tp in you've got 5 seconds to get something done and then sit there as the entire entire enemy team destroys you because your TP is still on cooldown.

She still has the lowest pickrate/winrate out of all the flankers yet losers still complain about her. All these nerfs to her are getting out of hand. I have been a sombra main since her release and the only time she was honestly decent was the small amount of time she was used to try to counter Goats comps and even then she was still niche just like she has always been. I still have no clue how anyone still complains about her when TRACER exists. Tracer has always been stronger than sombra. Tracer has 3 blinks and a recall that heals her, on top of having a smaller hitbox and faster movement. Reaper can become invulnerable, can teleport, and gets health back if a single bullet hits the target and has a team wiping ultimate. Genji gets dash reset every kill, wall climb, faster movement speed, can deflect every ability in the game (even bastions ult can be deflected from the sky) and has an actual DPS ultimate instead of an ultimate that relies on your team to get the kills like Sombras does, seeing how EMP is useless if your team doesn't follow up on it. Not to mention sombra still has the least amount of damage in the entire damage role. Meaning her weapon does less damage than every other hero in the dps category. I am growing tired of the nerfs as have so many of the big streamers that used to main her. People that claim she is easy need to actually go play her for a season and then come back to me because you all know the character isn't easy. Some of you play her for a few matches and then claim she is easy as if a few matches = a full season. No one other than hardcore sombra mains actually play her and know the struggle. No one should be listening to these people that play her for a few matches only and then claim she is so ez.

Shes quite bad in a 1v1 against almost any support minus zen mercy and maybeee lucio. Positioning is a pain with her even with invis, cant just shoot and TP because anyone above plat can just follow the purple stream and shoot her out of invis. Map changes reduce strategy to a brawl. If everyone has access to high grounds then there is very little reason to do any deliberate plans to peel off defenders. Just go in, throw your abilities around like if it was a flat ground and hope for the best. I thought I would like the changes, but instead of making it more fair, they just give even less reason to plan your game around the map design and just go "whatever". Less cooperation required, no need for specialists, no need to care if your team has enough vertical mobility, no need to care if your pick makes sense. I couldn't care less if I couldn't get to the highground as Briggite. That's the risk I'm taking so I can use different utilities of my character. Now consideration for map geometry becomes less important.

I suspect 80% of players still don't know that stuff about maps and drop the game from frustration more than Blizzard likes. Removing that aspect of the game (like removing tank synergies) reduces how much you can climb with just strategy. The non-FPS players from OW1 will lose out, but the F2P shooter players may come back more often.

That Mauga microbuff feels counteractive, he already fires both into Tanks all the time just reduce the hits required to ignite. Initial reaction to Pummel is that punching through barriers is the whole point of playing Ram into them, as it is now he has to launch 10 Pummels into Rein's barrier (assuming its a 1v1). I don't think Invis needed all the changes it got but being tied to trans was a good choice, I would have just increased the cooldown of trans to 12 seconds.

As someone who enjoys playing Sombra, probably more than any other character, this looks like an awful rework; on par with their other reworks. Obviously, permanent stealth was an absolutely STUPID thing to give her. It's right up there with invulnerability, one-shots and flying in a FPS. All bad ideas. Their solution, at face value, looks crazy. I'll have to play it, but it looks like to me you're going to have to play Sombra as Sombra76. You're going to be a weaker Soldier76. Sombra's design has always had TWO major flaws. Invisibility and HACK. Both are awful to play against. I've always said, HACK should have become virus in the previous rework. Removing its denial of abilities. You can keep that for EMP, but she should never be able to deny abilities. It makes playing characters like Doomfist miserable. I'll bet everything, that this rework requires LOTS of adjustments. LOTS. They won't know what to do, to fix it, so they'll start with the translocator nerf. It's raising to a 7 second cooldown with 5 second stealth. My first predication is that gets changed. Lacking ANY creativity, they're going to play with the 20% opportunist passive. First a raise, to probably 30% to try to give a reason to play the character after only the die-hards are left playing her. Finally, they won't know what to do about survivability so they'll eventually increase her HP. And then my final prediction is, five seasons from now ANOTHER complete rework! Btw, wtf are they thinking with the Bob nerf??? Yeah, she shuts down Bob with basically only her EMP, cause Bob will shred you if he can see you. So EMP negates Bob currently, but not tomorrow. Why did that need to be changed??? There are MANY ults that negate other ults. Bob was one of the few things I could at least say "Well, I can stop Bob when he gets deployed." No longer.

I wonder sometimes if Ramattra was always meant to break shields, not bypass them? Because I always thought the visual of turning big and punching a shield does not at all indicate visually that he's doing a mid-ranged attack that pierces through not just shields but players. I always thought it was very poor visual design, very unintuitive, and there's little to no visual indication of the length of his real damage area. It would maybe only work if melee attacks consistently cut through shields, but they don't. But, a punching motion called "pummel" that breaks shields faster with brute force? That makes a lot more visual sense. Not saying anything on whether or not its a good mechanic though lol.

The thing is, nobody is discussing this in context. Yes they took away his ability to punch through barriers, but they also made his punch do 2.5x more damage to barriers. So it breaks them tremendously faster. If you're trying save your team from a Winston bubble, breaking it faster is probably better than punching through it. It's not a cut and dry simple nerf.

It became a reason for withdrawing a ton of my time to playing OW2 seriously at all now that I've switched to PC in the last 2 years

The cooldown on translocator is too long now. If a team plays well then Sombra will get zero value. Fitzy will probably trash talk these changes because it's promoting you to not fight as Sombra

Please commenters, read the actual patch notes before you rage. Ram may be losing the ability to punch through barriers, but he gains the ability to break them 2.5x faster. He should be able to shred a Winston bubble or Sig shield. They also reduced Rein shield total HP. It's not just a straight nerf like everyone is saying here.

Unfortunately these changes only make her better against doom and ball and don't let her make plays against squishies as easily. This means ball and doom will be hacked and killed more and counter picking them might be the only reason to play sombra

@He7atiB we will have to see how it plays out, but if i was counter picking doom/ball I would use the 2 second of down time on invis to hide around my team and save hack and virus for the tank. If someone is trying to play sombra fairly and not picking her exclusively as a counter picks you are correct. The problem I'm seeing is she is so much worse at being played fairly but also even better played as an exclusive doom/ball counter that the only time you will see sombra is when she counter picking doom/ball

20:06 I have a problem with this. Reducing queue times for wide groups is nonsense. Reducing queue time for them, by default, is gonna increase it queue time for someone else. Wide groups should be the absolute lowest priority. These players should just be happy that they can group at all.

"brig's healing output is quite high" as a brig player i can confirm that is not the case. you can rack up tons of healing in a match but if they got high damage dealing characters they will burn through all repair packs and inspire healing quickly similar to lucio's healing. you can give someone all 3 of your repair packs, proc inspire and still get flammed by them for not healing enough

Most of these changes are unneeded imo. Ram's change is a very net nerf. I struggle to see how Mauga's buff does anything to help what they said it was supposed to help (that is, insentivise to go after squishies). Rein's and Brig's changes are okay, I guess? Probably won't be very noticable. Sojourn is getting the orisa treatement of getting slowly micro-buffed over the course of seasons to get her back into op territory. Baptiste's changes are... weird? I didn't see anyone complain about the recoil, like ever. Not only that but he's really good in higher ranks and frustrating to play against, so I really expected a nerf. Hanzo's buff is SO unnecessary imo. The trade of having low hp for one shot potential was good, so why remove that? And the icing on the cake is the poor excuse for a rework they provided Sombra with. She just looks clunky and unsatisfying to play... Plus, the fact that they upped her lethality more makes her EVEN more frustrating than before for supports, just like early season 12. Gotta hope for better balance changes in the mid-season patch, IG... Some love for Ball would be nice.

Juno really didn't need that nerf, the only reason shes good is because she can keep her distance, her healing output is comparatively low already. She isn't high mobility by any means, he mobility is very restrictive and predictable, shes really easy to kill in team fights.
