her boots are the Yeti skin. Also the cryo-chambers ran out of power because they were left on for so long, it was not planned. And Mei left the sensors on to gather data but that uses up more power. She was the last one in and therefore got the last chamber which was the last one left with power. In this way Mei carries all the hopes and dreams of her comrades. This is her tenacity and her determination and she will not give up easily, and why she is not defeated easily ... the heavy load she bears make her strong.

my guess as to why the other cyro chambers didn't activate is because overwatch was supposed to come for mei and her team but since they disbanded the Antarctica team stayed in cryo sleep much longer than predicted, and with no one to replace or give any attention to the batteries the station slowly started to lose power and the only one it was able to open was the last one
