Are there specific strings to use when playing in drop c (btw never heard of that in my life)? I broke my high E string a little while ago when trying to learn this.

+Vonvaski not really. Generally for lower tunings you want thicker/higher gauge strings (they hold their tuning better) but for solos you want thinner/lower gauge strings so that you can bend and move around faster. It all depends on what you like to play, if you play a lot of solos go for very light gauge strings, if you mostly play rhythm then go for heavier gauge strings. I use Extra Super Light gauge strings which go from a .008 to a .038, so mine are mostly made for soloing.

Ok thank you for your response (this is the same person). So what made you choose drop C for this theme? I'm curious because I want to play this, but I'm inexperienced in the tuning. Is there no better way to play this using standard tuning?

+Generator I just always use Drop C tuning, sometimes for the rhythm guitars I need to get to the low C. If the song had the notes going down to a low C, it would sound weird to then have to go up to a higher C because the lower note wasn't available. Even in some of my other covers I've actually tuned down to Drop A just because some of the notes have needed to go that low. So mostly it's just what I'm always tuned to and other times it's because it's necessary so I can hit the right notes.
