Great video! I stayed near there on my last visit to Cumbria in 2022, was unaware it was actually a reservoir!

Chapelhouse is just the River Ellen dammed but Overwater was a small lake but dammed to increase the size. It’ll be interesting to see what it looks like after the dams are removed.

I assume it’s both. I think the new pipelines from Thirlmere have made them redundant and they probably don’t want to spend money on any upkeep. I’ll be checking United Utilities website next year to see what’s happening.
