Finally a perfect run without anyone getting killed, 36/50 actions limits without Pep Pop, solo Magic Burst and Yggdragon's Blessing. ▶ I found Wild Side Pep much more effective than Brownie Boost Pep, since Erik can simply dealt massive damage within few turns + Overweening Pride will debuff your party after 2nd or 3rd turn. ▶ Craft Skull Rings +3 to deal with Dark Damage. I had 6 equipped on my main party members which helps a lot. ▶ If you want to use Dirge of Dundrasil Pep, it's only useful after Overweening Pride summons more enemies. ▶ I found this battle to be difficult WITHOUT Veronica's Magic Burst. But a single Mighty Magic Burst Pep will be enough.

Damn I did it in 25 turns but my party was maxed out. Plus I stuffed Rab full of pep pips so I could abuse Dirge/Ygg's Blessing and Erik's persecutter. But holycow you're so underleveled, I'm impressed. I hope you didn't do the final Harma trial at such a low level for your sanity's sake. Just saw your Harma video, Yggdragon blessed you on that first turn lol

Pinoynumber8 It took me many tries to do this until I got lucky with Dazzle first turn and Serena pep up at the perfect time. And man..... Final Trial Wheel of Harma was crazy annoying. So I gave up and went for Lv99s lol.

I was considering experimenting with Wild Side since Eric was doing the majority of my damage anyway. Wondered why you didn’t pull a weapon swap for the Persecutter hit on the second round.

Isaac Vickers I normally use Brownie Boost pep for most bosses but having to deal with Disruptive Wave within first few turns, Wild Side pep was a lot more effective than I expected. About Persecutter hit, I personally didn't want to use poison + Victimizer / sleep + Persecutter 6x at all. I feel like almost everyone just abuse those combinations. Same for direct Magic Burst + Elfin Elixir + repeat. It may sound weird but I just want to make all boss fight videos with easy simple methods that's different from other people.

Ramencafe that’s pretty cool to make a difference. I was impressed at your levels going into this as well. In the time since my last comment, I managed to beat him with Wild Side + some minor tweaking for my own party. Not near as smooth as your method (half my party was dead at the end and I didn’t feel like picking them up as I finished off the mobs), but that’s my first win on him. I got my throat stepped on all yesterday, and I’ve been trying to come at him a few ways that just didn’t pan out. Great video man, wish you success on your channel.

Isaac Vickers I was trying to get this done earlier with party Lv early 60s but I got completely destroyed on every attempts lol. Especially those 2 machine bots being major headache distraction.. Wow you did really well! I think that most people won’t be able to defeat this boss at this level but you’ve made it through! All my characters were lv99 now and I use to defeat him around 16-30 turns, because I like to use double down from Erik, it does quite a lot of damage and you can kill those backup monster in one go which is really good. Also is there any equipments that can reduce the damage of pure darkness because every time when the boss uses this move, it goes up to 300 damage to my characters.

Double down definitely a satisfying Erik’s attack. But yeah, this fight was pretty rough.

True, but if Erik got curse then it might be difficult sometimes to attack him by double down.

Beat him on 23 actions on Draconian at around LV80-85 without Pep Pop abuse or Magic Burst spam, I make sure to get everyone Pep Up before the fight except Jade (she just didn't participate to the fight) : -Starting with Hendrik, Hero, Sylv and Rab I use the Pep Powers Kiss of Death and Dirge of Dundrasil to sleep and Poison him. -Swap Hero for Erik who use Divide + Persecutter (Sylvando should have the Time to Oomphle him) -Then Hendrik use Forbearance while Erik does Fatal Slash (he uses Disruptive Wave every 3 turns so I know I will not have the time to Divide + Victimiser yet so might as well get some damage), while Rab heal Hendrik is needed. -After Disruptive Wave Oomphle on Erik who use Divide + Victimiser -Then swap Erik and Rab for Veronica and Serena, use Sylvando ladies first to one of the two and use Mighty Magic Burst which should kill him or at least nearly kill him. Haven't find better strat without Pep Pop abuse.

What do you mean lol this is THE smoothest, perfect strategy run without any Pep Pop, Solo Magic Burst, Yggdragon's Blessing, Persecutter, Victimizer. Plus my whole party was underleveled. And lastly, none of my characters got kill. Sure you can play however you like but personally Pep Pop, Persecutter/Victimizer makes the game less fun.

@@Ramencafe I didn't use Pep Pop to I don't like using them to, I just make sure the character I wanted were Pep Up BEFORE starting the fight, I don't mind using Persecutter and Victimizer tough as it require quite a set up to use well, heck without using Sylv + Hendrik's Kiss of Death or Hero + Rab's Dirge of Dundrasil which are way more reliable to inflict statut effect than Cobra Strike or Sleeper Hit I think Swords with Fatal Slash are better than Knives for Erik due to more consistancy in damage and easier to set up.

@@nesoukkefka1741 oh that was my fault.. Yeah same here, most of boss fights especially this one I made sure my main party all pep up before the fight just for make things a bit easier. Other than Persecutter x3 and Victimizer x3. Fatal Slash x3 definitely the best alternate option. Took me a while to get a perfect run on this boss due to how random and vicious his attacks can be + getting debuff'd early and such.

@@Ramencafe Yeah the only turn that is fix is the very first one he always start with Multi-hit + Summon add also Disruptive Wave I notice he uses it every 3 turns (on Strong Ennemy mode at least) other than that he is quite random, with my strat he could potentially ruin my strat with his multi-hit if to many hits goes to Rab and kill him. Also I'm jealous of you for that Dazzle at the beginning, I tried it several time and never manage to pull it off can't imagine how low the success rate must be.

@@nesoukkefka1741 Exactly lol! Dazzle rarely ever hit this boss for some odd reason.. very rare. I tried it so many times then got very lucky once here. I'm currently watching your Final Fantasy VI 2.0 Beta playthrough right now. I love that game so much.

It will be helpful so yes! But I like to be pre-pep up before the fight so you have early advantage. But just need to watch out for Overweening's Disruptive Wave which he will use it 2-3 times during the battle.

Dazzle doesn't work against overweening pride on the switch version of dragon quest 11, only way I was able to beat it was by sap and blunt with veronica, oomphle the hero with veronica and unbridled blade him.

Version don't matter, but from my experience Dazzle rarely land on this boss.

What I mean't was that every time I used dazzle against him, it would say and I quote "overweening pride isn't affected" and it wouldn't say miss either.

Where did you get the outfits for Serena and Rab?

I'm pretty late, but Serenica's outfit can be found in post game at Trial Isle. The headpiece is in the 2nd trial, and the torso can be found in the 3rd trial, both in chests. You probably don't need this anymore but yeah, that's where you can find serenicas outfit.

How you make everyone pep up without pep pips/pep pops?

I never use pep pops before nor during battles, it's too cheesy. I simply just go on normal battle, defense until my main party pep up. Switch other characters around in, out of party just to adjust pep characters however you like. You can just do this right before you fight a boss.

The hell sabre is in the luminary trial on 4th floor inside and to the left, but you need to go to first floor and use the portal there

Gabriel Hipo For this boss, I found Dazzle to be extremely difficult to land.. for some reason, like 1 out of 10 times rare. But I had no problem with Dirge of Dundrasil.

@@Ramencafe I think they make him immune (or at least waaay more resistant) to sleep on the S Version cause I swear I tried Dirge of Dundrasil like 20 times and it never land, while on PS4 I never had problem with it. Also while on PS4 his Disruptive Wave was predictable (every 3 turns) now it seems to be random and he uses it less often sound good but it actually makes him more aggressive as the result, currently LV60-63 manage to win this fight but not under 50 actions (best I got was 55).

Nesouk Kefka I personally didnt see any difference on Switch. Dirge of Dundrasil still land on this boss just fine. While Dazzle also still pain in the ass to land. But I still had lots of trouble for sure, it’s annoyingly difficult to beat him at late Lv 50s without anyone dead.

Seeds items exist, don’t you know? The ones that increase HP, MP, other stats permanently.

@@calebmoffett8262 Divide + Critical claim does much less damage and cost more mp. Divide + Falcon Slash is a decent alternative.
