This hits way too close to home, I have autism and a bubbly personality. That two mix together which makes me seem childish, I'm almost 18 and I'm always hearing " You need to grow up", "you need to act your age", or "why do you need to be this way" but it was nice to hear the ending.

TW: There some mentions of my experience of growing up young, that may upset people. There are also some capital letters in this, I understand some may be triggered, I promise that is not intended. Ends with some words of encouragement for you, guys. I have always been way too mature for my age, I get told all the time, by parents, relatives, friends, even sometimes strangers that I am in a safe situation to talk to. I always had added responsibility, expectations and just an 'advanced' mindset that other people of my age didn't have. This audio hit really hard and made me cry. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Audios that make me upset or cry, like this, are really helpful to me. They help me to get in touch with my emotions, which I have a lot of issues with regulating and just not knowing how to feel. These help me feel something real and remind me that I am human. To anyone going through a hard time. Whatever it is. YOU are VALID. YOU MATTER. Your FEELINGS are VALID. YOU WILL get through it. And when you think everyone is against you, know there is at least one person,(me, hi) that hasn't even met you, yet knows that you are EXTRAORDINARY. If you want to talk about anything, comment here, if you feel more comfortable, I can give you one of my socials to talk to me instead. Have a great day/night, Darlings. you are all loved. At least by me. ❤❤

Yk this was a little different to me since I was always told I was “so mature for my age” or “more responsible that most.” I used to be really talkative and stuff, but I was told I was “annoying” and “I needed to give someone else- anyone else- a chance to talk.” And having working parents and a big age gap between me and my siblings I felt like I was behind. So I just started to force myself to grow up, it’s still a habit I have to constantly be responsible and mature but it’s hard. Even when my friends tell me that they like it when I’m more childish and relaxed, I find it hard to do so.

Me and my sister grew up in a very mental abusive and toxic household, they always told us to grow up, to wear makeup, etc so that boys would like us more and that we'd marry a rich man someday so they can be rich. At one point, we had enough and started becoming aggressive and we'd start yelling at our parents all the time. They would always work and barely have time for us, my sister is older than me so when they used to yell at us and say rude things (e.x. grow up, stop being lazy, you're useless, etc) she used to comfort me, I genuinely love her so much and I don't know what I would do without her. So this really hurt but me and my sister are happy now and we solved our problems with our parents because we had a long talk with them and some therapists. So this hit home hard.

Let me get on my soap box, one sec Okay, so as someone who has a grocery list of mental issues, sometimes they overlap and weird stuff happens. Main example here is trust issues/abandonment issues, and attachment issues. It takes me a while to trust someone, but once I do they're stuck with my annoying ass. I've been through the ringer of "you need to grow up", and if someone I genuinely trusted on a deep level said that, it would definitely trigger the reactions of the listener here. Thanks for the amazing audio! Keep up the great work, and look after yourself!

Its funny that i found this video when i did, because this morning i was feeling really down about feeling like everyone treating me like i was a baby. Its just always bothered me since i usually get ignored. Its just been hard for me to be okay with not having to act like an adult all the time. They act like I'm annoying or a nuisance, its just been hard for me to be okay with not having to be adult all the time, and that its okay to be silly and stupid

You have a very similar speech pattern to a friend of mine and every so often I catch it in certain words. It's actually really nice, a sense of familiarity makes these pretty neat! :)

This video was a random recommendation of KZbin, the first second I heard...I love your voice. I'm crying, idk why exactly... It felt so real. I'm too dense and childish even if I will be 26 year old this year. All my answers where responded by the questions of your character, it surprised me.

Calls listener childish and instantly regrets it, then immediately misses all the qualities he complained about it. Least we get to hug it out and get chicken nuggies!

I did a extra grade as a kid so I'm a year older than all my classmates, in result I act more childish, because Im around younger people, and it makes me upset to be called childish cuz I can't help it 💀😭 (wonderful video btw I enjoyed listening to it!!)

This audio hit so close to home it froze me... I'm AFAB and I had to grow too fast because of emotional and physical neglect and abuse at home. I was always told to grow up and behave, even when I was too little to understand what growing up and behaving meant. Once when I was in high school I went to buy clothes with a friend and I saw a very pretty pair of shorts that had embroidered lace patches and frills around the hems. I commented to my friend that those shorts were cute and that I could maybe wear those. But she shook her head and said: "I wouldn't wear that..." I asked why. And her words have haunted me to this day: "Because I'm not a child and neither are you... you need to grow up a little..." I never looked at frilly or "childish" clothes again for years. My then boyfriend broke up with me for similar reasons, saying I was too childish and immature. It triggered me changing my whole wardrobe in hopes he would go back to me, but after seeing the type of girls he had started to date I gave up, I'm not a stilleto heel type of person. It took a decade after all that for me to find someone who cared about my childishness in a positive way, and in fact who encouraged me to be myself, and even contributed to my new "childish" clothes or my stuffie collection. We're saving money to get married now...

I’ve dealt with bullying from 5th grade to 7th it was always because I was childish, most of the time I guess. So, hearing the words “I would never ask you to change.” Made me cry,l. And they do every time I listen to this.

As someone who had to grow up too fast bc my parents are divorced and i had to be like a second parent for my Younger sisters to help my dad with his mental illnesses and and some other disease's and my mum kinda ignored me and only really took care of my sisters her bf wasn't the best person to me but nice to the rest of 'em this hit quite hard totally not crying So sometimes I act a little childish with things and I get told all the time "U should grow up more" or "why r U acting like that ur not 10" and then people wonder why I'm so cold and harsh

welll shit that hit hard my mum always yells at me saying how childish i am whenever i tell her about my sister bullying or hitting me it also reminded me of something my best friend said to me about how one doesnt need an enemy if they have me and its stuck in my head whenever i see her because i cant tell if she really meant it which actually was the reason why i relapsed after being clean for over 100 days i think i might be autistic which would explain me coming across as rude, childish or like really goofy sometimes but that doesn't matter my mum doesn't want me to be autistic so i wont try to get a diagnosis But still it hurts so much that i don't feel super comfortable around my best friend anymore and that i always hold myself back when a topic I'm really interested in comes up Like i could really use some comfort with learning for my exams just to get them all back with bad grades while everyone else I'm kind of friends with is like REALLY good and my mum just telling me to study more to be honest i dont know what I'll do if my math exam on monday doesn't go well idk probably just leave, let everyone have a beautiful life yk Sorry for the rant I probably shouldn't have written all of that because nobody profits from trauma dumping haha Anywayyyy if anyone bothered to read this I hope you're doing great and if not I'm sure it will get better for you Have a wonderful day
