One of the few things that got me through covid lockdown was the 90 or so minutes i spent playing mario kart online with Steve. We talked about J Mascis, about mental health, that one weird Stove chord I was bugging to figure out, about all kinds of things. A truly sweet guy with a good heart, and a lot of empathy

This band has and will continue age like fine wine, already seeing dozens of copycats in my local scene. They will only be talked about more as time goes on and I promise you Steve you’re gonna see tons of the upcoming generation name you and your brothers as their biggest inspiration. Never seen a band that has such a unique sound while also maintaining a wide appeal. The mark of a once in a generation songwriter but I’ll stop glazing. Keep up the good shit I’ve been waiting for yall to get on audiotree or KEXP for years.

The first time I heard "Strokes", it was ingrained to my brain instantly. Definitely one of my favourite songs released in recent years, and seeing it performed on audiotree just cements this for me. Awesome performance by the band and Great work on the mixing and sound by audiotree as well (as always).

Strokes is one of the best damn songs on planet Earth. The opening riff, the second "water" with more twang and draw than the first water (just like the record!), and that short but rad rock n roll solo. Masterpiece. What a band!
