Hi your video was very helpful but I really have a question I’m going insane with this I’ve been looking through the Internet but I still don’t get my answer three months ago I have started to try to conceive last month I try the strips but one of the things that I have noticed on the cycle I will see the progressive I’m going a little pinker but then suddenly I would test the next morning and it will drop my color will go lighter and then another day will go up but then another will drop again is it normal to go up and down and last month I actually gave up because I’m like maybe I’m just not ovulating but this time I don’t know what to do should I just keep testing because it’s normal or maybe is The brand of the strip hope You can give me a clue thank you

Just to be sure, I started testing on cd 8 because normally I feel when I ovulate and I typically ovulate around day 14 I had a slow progression up until cd 15 which is when both lines were the same darkness but the next day, CD16 the test line was darker than the control line. Would you say I ovulated day 16 when it was darker or day 15 when they were the same color?

Happy to help! Baby dust to you!! And you probably ovulated a few days after CD 16. Like I said after you get your positive ovulation will happen 24-48 hours after your tests. And since you got another positive on CD 16 it was probably after that, that you ovulated!😊💕

So happy the video could help and I hope it all goes well!🤞🏻 With ovulation tests, they aren’t like pregnancy tests. Two lines doesn’t mean positive. You need the test line to be as dark or darker than the control line. The last two tests weren’t so it makes them negative😊

I've heard you're diluting your stomach acid too much if you drink a lot while you eat. It's supposed to be healthier to just sip at meals and drink the bulk of your water between meals. Just letting you know. Thanks for the vid.

Thank you for this, I am a little lost with all this because I just stopped my birth control pill and my cycle when not on the pill has always been irregular... Use opk and track bbt together. Opk will detect LH surge and BBT will confirm ovulation so you know that you did actually ovulate. Some women have LH surge but for some reason don't ovulate.

Did you document your test on the premom app? I glue the actual tests in a notebook similar to you video but I always use the app. The ratios drive me crazy because they fluctuate.

Last month I did this, I was so frustrated and took a break for a few days from them. cd19 I decided to take one, got a pos for cd19 and 20, I did end up getting pregnant however I’m taking progesterone because I ovulated late and was so scared of short luteal phase, still pregnant thankfully.

Oh, I'm definitely not a doctor lol! I would try and see a doctor because while cycles can be vary in length, it can also be an indicator something's up. If you're able to I would get the cheap Amazon tests because you can get hundreds for a reasonable price. Since you have no idea about when you ovulate I would start testing a week after your period ends. Test every day, twice a day and look for that surge. If you're still unsure about your ovulation after that, I would definitely see your doctor. They can help when things are confusing!

At least twice a day. Just try to space the times several hours apart. You're first test should be 3-4 hours *after* your first morning pee. When you take that first test, set an alarm on your phone for 6-8 hours later to take the second one!

I have a question !!!! I tested in the morning and it was negative and tested at 12:00pm and it was super darker than the control line and I tested at night and it was a negative Did I ovulate ?

You could have either had a very rapid spike in LH or it could be something else. If you have any hormone disrupting conditions they can give false ovulation positives too. Maybe testing at smaller intervals could give you more insight?

I'll keep an eye out for the video! I will say I've heard that if you get several positive (or even almost positives) it could be a sign of PCOS. I'm not a medical professional but your OBGYN should be able to help you!

Is there reason that you don't take it first thing in the morning? I'm wondering if I should use my morning test for the first pee of the day? I've heard different things

Yes! The LH is a hormone that can build up in your urine. You’re looking for a surge of it so if you took it with first morning urine, it may look like there’s a surge when there isn’t. If you’re worried you’re missing it around that time I’d see if you could get up to pee in the middle of the night and test 4-5 hours after that. I’ve never heard of women having a surge around that early in the day but I’m sure it’s not impossible either!

Hi i used opks with my first daughter and I used to get progressive tests and positive tests that last a couple of days. Now, 4 years later, I am using fresh tests and they always negative, with lines which almost mever show. Do you know what could be causing this?

Hello! I’m not quite sure actually. If you haven’t already I would switch brands and make sure you’re taking them after holding urine for 3-4 hours so it the urine isn’t diluted. If that isn’t a factor I’d check in with your doctor!

Your ovulation will take place 24-48 hours after your surge! No problem!

It is different for everyone. Some ovulate sooner, some ovulate later, some ovulate right on “schedule”. It also has a lot to do with your period cycle itself. Generally, ovulation takes place around 14 days after your ended period. However you may want to test sooner because you could ovulate earlier than that. Don’t be alarmed if you don’t or you seem to ovulate “late” because that can be normal too. Everyone is different but after a couple of full cycles you should get an idea of when you normally ovulate!

You can start tracking any time really. During your period wouldn't really be helpful so I'd wait a couple days after it before tracking.

The positive means your surge will happen typically between 24-48 hours after that positive test. I would continue to baby dance for the few days after that positive, even when they go back to negative. You probably caught it!

Our cycles are “X” number of days long so the cycle day is just whatever number day it is within the cycle. The first day of your period is cycle day 1 and from there you keep counting until your next period!

I tested twice a day because my surge typically happens quickly and fades even quickies so I don’t want to miss it. It’s also recommended to test twice a day when you’re first using them so you don’t miss it either with not knowing when to expect it/what it’s like. And we would BD that day and either every day or every other day after that!
