Years ago, I believe it was 2013, I was a child who liked medieval music. By chance, I discovered Owain. I didn't know English at the time. But listening to him today, with the little English I know, brings me joy, a different kind of peace. Today I know he is no longer among us, but I feel gratitude and peace when I listen to him. I truly hope everyone is well.

This is truly a hero of mine. I had the blessing of playing with him several times, the last in San Diego. My heart still leaps at the sound of his voice. There is no voice like Owain's, no sense of oneness with the listener as he plays. A prince - no a God of voice and performance. Still with us in our hearts he sings for angels now. Thank you so much for posting this. I listen to it often.

I've discovered Owain Phyfe by hazard, searching videos of ancient music in youtube. It was a very pleasant surprise, his particular arranges of medieval, sepharadic and renaissance music, and his natural sympahty chating with the public. By the way, he remembers me physically Ian Anderson, from Jethro Tull. I've enjoyed very much for hear him. I'm very sorry of his death in 2012. I beg your pardon for my poor english, my language is spanish, I'm from Argentina.

Truly! Owain Phyfe was one of the most incredible performers I have ever seen! He was the absolute definition of what it means to be a bard!

Owain Phyfe was a great entertainer and an excellent companion at table. I had the good fortune to meet him at two faires in 2003, and contrived to introduce him to the Las Vegas Faire, where he played a couple of years and based out of our camp to my great happiness. Later, in 2007, while he was playing at the Colorado Renaissance Faire, he accepted an invitation to come visit at my home. We slew three bottles of red, and we spoke until early the next morning of travels, friends, music, and love. I had a run in that same morning only a few hours later but no matter--I got back home at 7:00am and he came downstairs shortly after to ask me when I needed to go to my run. I laughed and told him I had already gone, to his astonishment! It unfortunately always seems the case that the best of us depart too soon. Owain, you will be missed, but a part of you will live on forever.

I love the version of Tourdion in this performance so much more than the recorded version of the album!! Love that it is just Mr Phyfe and Alexi(?) on the cello.
