He's an old friend of my family and I remember listening to him at the Ren Faire often as a girl and on CDs at home. He always called on my aunt in the audience at the Faire, because she was the only one who asked him to sing in Welsh and I remember being awed at how many languages he sang in. He was so humble about his talent and just wanted to sing. To those of us that remember him, the stage he sang at will always be his. It's hard to look at it knowing he won't stand there again with his guitar. Such a wonderful man, so much talent and love and so missed. I'll never forget him and really appreciate you posting this. Wish I had found it sooner.

@@eageltheYTman excuse me. No I'm not. He was a consistent performer at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly. My dad had been going since it opened and I had been going every year for 16 years since I'd been born (my mother moved my brother and i across the states so I wasn't able to visit my dad anymore because she's a conniving, mean woman). My dad knows most of the older workers there as well and my uncle actually was a performer there in a band called the Gutter Pups. Owain happened to fall into that category of people my dad constantly saw in and out of the faire. He created some special bonds there. Owain was one of those people. Just because it seems abnormal or farfetched to you, doesn't mean that wasn't someone important and a norm in someone else's life. Also, how would you even have a clue as to who was in my life as a child? You wouldn't, so don't assume everyone is lying for some weird reason you came up with. Remembering the great bard on the 11th anniversary of his passing. We spent many happy, gracious, magical hours together at the Jewel Stage listening to Owain's melodic performances during the autumnal times at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. The sorrow at missing that Welsh melodic voice is as great as ever despite the sunshine and warmth of this September day.

You are quite welcome. I have very fond memories of this particular gig. Owain was somewhat nervous, on one side, but also had a dream of showing somewhat "stale" in his opinion, early music aficcionados his vision of how fresh it can be. Mischievous, too, as he thrown at me the ukrainian song without a rehearlsal at all, just said - play something, Sasha. We did a workshop, too, all the performers at the BLEMF were asked to present one. It was not recorded, unfortunately, but had many rather humorous and unexpected moments.
