So much I could say about this album. This mans is a master of the key change and the deceptive progression for starters. Soundscape is mesmerizing, the hooks are all instantly iconic, and even with all the rich jazz chords there isn't a single moment that's too dissonant. The drops and grooves make me move every. single. time. It's the perfect blend of modern progressive rock and classic jazz/classical elements punctuated with the always welcome retro synths. Every single track is a banger. This is probably my favorite instrumental rock album of all time.
@BurntMcgurnt3 жыл бұрын

I'd never heard of Owane & was blown away! It certainly made the time go by quickly but made it difficult to not move! @FrogFraction6 жыл бұрын
@@Nofishnoclue Didn't get it either, so i googled and found this: "The Lick is a commonly used jazz lick (a stock musical pattern),[a] regarded as "the most famous jazz cliche ever".[2][3] It has been popularised as it is easily adaptable into all keys and modes and is heard in many famous pieces, including many non-jazz pieces.[4][5][1] It has been seen in adverts, such as in an "Injury Lawyers for You" advert and in the music on popular TV programmes, such as The Late Show. The Lick is now usually used for comedic effect,[b] as it has become "such as cliche" that musicians tend to only see it as an inside joke, so unironic performances are rare. The Lick is usually played over a ii°-V-i (minor-key) chord progression.[7][2]"

I honestly just want to hear more of this incredible artwork and now I have to really ask myself if the new Polyphia is worth my money in comparison to this absolute masterpiece.
