Hey guys. For the last few days I've been re-watching the first episode of Owari No Seraph just to listen to the amazing OST during the massacre scene. The song just left me heartbroken as I watched Yu's family get taken away from him. The emotion that this song gave off was so strong. Sawano Hiroyuki is my favoite composer for Anime OSTs so I expected as much from him but not to this extent. He went above and beyond this time around.
Anyway, I wanted to make an piano arrangement of this OST but I soon realized that something was missing. It just wasn't "full" sounding, so I decided to incorporate synth to emulate the fullness of an orchestra. The main focus was the synth so the piano isn't as loud. Just to clarify as well, this is less of a "piano arrangement" and more of a "keyboard arrangement".
Lastly the OSTs song title has not been officially released yet so I gave it the temporary name of "Farwell, Family" just until the official title is released.

Update: Ok so I just found out that this OST is pretty much an orchestrated version of the ending song's chorus. So I'm going to add scaPEGoat to the title name as well.

all the charater voice in owari no seraph its almost perfect, just like what i imagine, when i read it for the first time before it get to be anime. I just have imagine Saori voice will be perfect for Shinoa, and always imagine it while reading the manga, but i never expect they realy do that in the anime , and the other character is a perfect to almost like i feel dejavu when wacthing it

I'm crying... This is the song that you can hear when Mika, Yuu and the family try to escape from vampire's city... Omg... You can also hear this in 4 or 5 episode, when Mika goes to a children family that reject him... The family believe that Mika is an evil vampire, but he's not, he was a human...

Every time I listen to this video, that I keep coming back to, it makes me want to rewatch episode 1 where they sneak off and walk beside each other like a proud little family and I always think 'wow, they're strong for being under the age of 13'. I really love this anime and it substitutes Tokyo Ghoul for me because I'm getting so hyped about each episode, just as I was with TG.

For over a year now, I've watch this video countless times. It has touched my heart in many ways. We all are capable of touching/changing lives for the better or worse. The timing couldn't be better... I literally just got home from getting some help. I spent a few days at a hospital and it was a very good life changing experience. Sawano is incredible .. the Hans Zimmer of Anime ... every work he does is better than the one before... i loved his work on Nanatsu No Taizai , i thought that was his best work yet , but this song hits me deeply ! the scene in the first episode was absolutely perfect with this song ! sad and powerful ! you have a great talent , keep it up !!
