Ron Owen and everyone at Owen’s guns have been such an amazing help to the firearm community, so glad I bought my last 5 there, couldn’t ask for better customer service or prices. Any firearm owner in qld needs to go in just to have a geez at these beauty’s in the museum haha

Fantastic show guys. I am proud to say 3 generations of my family worked at Lithgow SAF my mother included. Proficiency in the safe handling of firearms should be once again taught to our children,it instills discipline and confidence which is sadly lacking today. Thank you 💪🙏 PS just found your channel, subscribed 😊

@@redneckrumbler thank you we are having a great time getting to see these amazing places. Lithgow SAF is on our wish list that we hope to get to. Very much agree, children today should be taught safe handling, that’s why we’ve had our young bloke involved from an early age, he couldn’t wait to turn 12 so he could get his license and has enjoyed all aspects of it since. Thanks for watching we really appreciate it

This was a great piece. It is evident the blood, sweat and tears that went into collating and creating this museum collection. I didn’t see a single script prompting any of the knowledge that was shared. Unbelievably well done.

I went to this AMAZING shop about 5 years ago , it was an eye opener back then , so I can only imagine what it's like now . Do yourself a favour and take a hour or two and have a look through this Living History Museum and in the way they have displayed all these firearms . The staff are all top notch , the merchandise is vast and fairly cheap . That's my add , come and have a look . Great episode .

Lovely ep and spot, Wow I was born in Gympie and bought my first 308 Mark 1 ruger rifle off Ron Owen at 15, and my 310 cadet rifle. I did not know they had a museum at there new shop.

Many years ago I fired a Winchester thumb trigger model . It allowed for a very steady hold and the barrel aim was not disturbed by the trigger finger movement. I liked the old fashioned bolt action whereby the action was not cocked when the cartridge was loaded. The hammer knob had to be pulled back and engaged for firing. It was probably too weird to become popular which was a great pity. According to the Forgotten Firearms Channel , most of them that were made ended up in Australia Cheers from up north👍

The thumb trigger did break my brain for a moment while I worked it out. Would have been very cool to get to fire one. Thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for watching we really appreciate it
