Thank you Owen. You're not only an inspiration. You're a megaphone through which God is warning all of us of this. All Jesus followers need to know this. Your church is the target of this evil ideology. The instruments of that ideology are not aiming at the front door of your church. It's prize is the pulpit. If they can capture that, they capture your church. As far as God's people are concerned, this not a new idea. This is the age old belief system started in the garden with their motto "Did God really say..." ,. Keep you eyes and ears open for these key words and phrases that might be coming from the leadership in your church. Pray for wisdom and discernment.

How dare you make a general statement about MLK that he was not Born Again (not a Christian) without examples and references. He died because he believed he was doing God work. That statement clearly provides insight to your perceptions and the perceptions of the “conservative evangelical” that destroys your credibility in discussing this issue. We all have biases and need to fight against them to truly love our brothers. These types of thoughts and criticisms harm that goal.

This theology really catapulted me into taking a deep-dive into Christianity, and after 40-years, I ultimately chose to abandon it. Indoctrination taught me that I would never be able to do good without God. But the truth is, I'm overwhelmed by the good I am capable of, and how much better I am able to love people today, especially those who are different than me. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, I'll do whatever I can to make penance for the ways in which I harmed you when I was aligned with theology like this. I am so sorry.

I'll just ask y'all: if I was going to warn a roomful of non- believers about the folly of Christianity, and I summed up all the whole religion for them in a 50 minute lecture... would you not think I hadn't adequately covered the subject?
