What a class act, gets a woman pregnant, denies being the father, when his paternity is proven in court thru DNA testing, he fights paying her any child support and even though his daughter is now 5 or 6 years old, he has apparently literally never seen her once. This is a guy who had no problem labeling people with different political views from him "Immoral". He needs to understand that plenty of people die completely alone, even though they have millions of dollars in the bank.

I just would like to point out that we don’t have the full story nor are we owed the full story as far as that goes. I’m not saying that he’s in the right or the wrong, just saying there isn’t enough information out there to be making assumptions on him as a person. As far as I know, he hasn’t spoken out about it so we only have half of the story and whatever else comes out of the tabloids. You’re certainly allowed to have your opinion on him as a person, but that doesn’t mean that he is in fact a terrible person just because of this one scandal. No one is perfect- everyone is fighting their own struggles. I hope you have a wonderful day (and I don’t mean that passive-aggressively, I just felt like it needed to be said because I have seen a few comments like this on different platforms). :)

It was like he told the woman, don’t get pregnant and she did and he threw her out of his life. In a nutshell, from what I’ve read. At any rate, whatever the mother did - and he has to realize this may happen if you fornicate - you don’t do what he is doing to his own child. (Remember when he tried to kill himself after Kate Hudson dumped him - and she was devastated when Matthew McConaughey didn’t reciprocate her feelings. Now I wonder who hurt McConaughey’s feelings? Probably no one.) I would think he would be more sensitive to people’s FEELINGS, especially his daughter’s. He’s an a-one jerk. (Although Luke seems nice. Who knows?)

I'm not really defending his actions, but he also has two young sons with different mothers and he seems to have worked out custody with them just fine. I don't want to believe he's an awful father specifically to his daughter for apparently no reason. It feels like every other actor or director is problematic because normal everyday people don't get thier dirty laundry dug up and shown to the media.
