Owen aways goes beyong vertical on the backhand and clutches a tight snap on the most critical section of the wave. It looks ugly, but it's not easy to do that. I don't really think his score should have been below 8 pts. Also his style is amazing on the forehand and the CT should have more lefts.

The first score for Wrights wave was a joke. That was not an excellent score, he did not even finish the wave properly. No bad feelings but that really felt weird.

So Bjorn, are you a judge?What the fuck do you know about surfing? Every time I go to a WSL video the comments are filled with whining kooks who think they can judge surfing better than everyone else. Do you even know what the judging criteria are? Fuck, do you even surf? Do you have any fucking idea how hard it is to surf bells on your backhand when its 4 feet, let alone 10 to 15??? No? then what makes you think you know how to score waves like that?

@@timblizzard4226 when I say speed I dont just mean how fast they're going, I mean more of how fast the are able to do maneuvers onto more critical sections. Without having enough speed and drive in your turns it ends up looking like hesitation. His ride had no power behind it, like compare his turns to any of jjs, they were extremely slow and not critical enough to be considered an 8.17 in my opinion

@@escolaespiritualmoderna Medina e JJF nessas condições se sobressaem pois são os mais casca grossas e talentosos, só voce ver TODOS os surfistas sem conexão alguma com o mar, brigando pra se manter em pé na onda balançando, outros preferindo nem arriscar nas junções, ai o Medina de back da show e o John vem na sequencia e eleva ainda mais o nível, olha essas manobras na junção, no crítico, tu olha pra cima voce ve uma parede enorme de agua, enquanto a maioria preferindo sair da onda sem encarar a junção e outros dando algumas manobras soft e o Florence dando essas porrada, vai receber nota, ta fazendo o que ninguem fez, sem caô
