"Dan Kennedy and John Carlton", thank you and I will be getting their material as well as yours. I signed up for the free tutorials! Thank you again for that. This video got me looking into the comments when taking about us 40 year olds and how we're not good to bring along to parties. I used to be that kind of person and want to do better. I've been invited to tag along to a class reunion. We'll see if I can apply what I've learned so far about endless motivation. Julian teaches the free videos and "There's No Going Back" made me think of my reasons for getting into skateboarding. It's so much fun feeling the wind in my hair and my friend gave me a skateboard as a gift for teaching him how to use his cannon rebel. He's teaching me how to skateboard. I fractured my femur. Am I quitting skateboarding? Of course not! Does my entire family advise against it? Hell yeah but everyone at the skatepark are so supportive. They're high school students.

Owen, do you remember the part of Power vs. Force that discusses how the reason certain drugs are addictive is because it artificially, temporarily takes people to a higher level of consciousness (initially) such that returning back to a lower level becomes unacceptable. However, because it’s not earned, there is a debt that must be paid on the back end. I had an addiction to opiates, but alcohol does nothing for me. There is only an incentive to return if it takes you to a level that’s higher than your baseline. The only thing with the potential to permanently increase one’s baseline is something like meditation. Thoughts?

Matthew 6:19-21 King James Version 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Reminds me of one of his videos where Owen said he was live for a certain program of one of his mentors and forgot it and later he wanted to buy his mentor’s program. His mentor shipped Owen the program and Owen was loving it and it was so useful to him. Then at the end of the video program Owen realized he was there at the live event for it because his mentor called on Owen for something. That’s when Owen got shocked because he realized he was there but it’s like his mind wasn’t ready for that level of information.

Owen is master transformation. What works for me is paying attention to the frequency and intensity in his voice. Now I understand you gotta be hard on yourself to get into a focused state. Though I work hard everyday at quantitative research, at least I think I do. I feel my progress suffers from not getting after the social component, what ever that means. I remain focused on the big picture but go through bouts of self doubt, indicision and generally not getting after it, cost frankly I can't figure out exactly why? My biggest excuse is I have no money. But looking back at my life, some better decisions and money should never be an excuse. Just gotta arrive. But knowing what I want is hard. I guess I already have what I want, just wish I could change the context. LIke higher status things bro, environment, relationships, hobbies, playful spirit. At the same time runnng a hedge fund.

As soon as you mentioned the d*** magnet it instantly reawakened a core memory. Pandora’s box was why I got into pickup. I was 13 and I saw the ad and it spoke to me. Saved up what little dimes and quarters I had and bought it with my friend. Great marketing. Terrible product. But it lead me to discovering the real stuff, so I’m thankful for it in a weird way. It’s a great lesson on leveraging people’s psychology. Thank you for the great video Owen always much appreciated. I don’t consume a lot of content these days, but I always tune in for you and Julien. You’re at the cutting edge. Much love

15 min into the video and it is an AMAZING super valuable content. It is very hard to resonate with this (as in get what he's saying) if someone has never been through it or reflected within enough. Even this video i used it as some distraction lime how i use youtube videos sometimes. It's definitely a btter alternative because it already made me super conscious of my unconscious patterns and behaviors. Especially the bit when you said real success feels savage; when you actually start being on the path of thay success, it does NOT feel like that fantasy in our head at all. The "one day" fantasy feels exciting but once it is time to start taking action, all the excitment and feel good comfort in our head goes away, ajd it starts feeling a bit dreadful.. that IS where success lies.. it feels savage and brutal and uncomfortable and gross and jarring etc... it doesn't match the fantasy.. I will keep watching and tuning in. Thank you Owen for standing up for humanity and giving us hope

You should make your top 10 best speech moments into chapters. I see a cool hardback cover in pink with you laughing and smiling and it says social skills in Big letters in blue or white embossed and the line 'made easy' in hand written sharpie style. I think it's important to have a physical thing in peoples hand, not just digital. And maybe somebody might find it in a library one day and it could help them. A social skills 'fast manual' pocket size manual is cool too.
