Veteran Patton Long Range Test and how far can you go?
This week, I try to make it to Sprain Ridge for some off road action and back; a 60 miles trip on the Veteran Patton which I only gotten 25miles out of previously. Will I be able to stretch out the range to cover the distance or will it be the walk of shame for me?

Yeah, I love to go off road by truck, dirt bike or bicycle, but hard to find like-minded people who want to go slowly in order to enjoy the scenery etc. Speed is obviously fun but life-long injuries aren't (that's the ghost of my left knee talking, replaced by titanium and plastic). On my last 5 day trip with friends, on the first day one car broke an axle going too fast, on the last day one of the cars went off the road and down a ravine. We spent hours recovering the gear from the wrecked car, and then they still drove fast?

Slow and steady skips the charge breaks more often 😊 I go fast when it's appropriate and I feel safe doing so but on the road I'm usually cruising slower and kind of dillydally type riding. I'm not very old but I'm at that threshold of injury=problems age. I hit 41mph on my v12 a few times at a abandoned airport strip. When I keep it around 20-25 mph as a top cruising speed I am getting the 60-70 mile range on the inmotion v12. I would like more range though

Need at least 160miles range for long-distance trips. US EV tax-rebate kicks in at 7.2Whr battery, but manufacturer must obtain the tax-break certification for its customers. Will be first on the list when Sherman produces such a wheel. ps. beef-up suspension to 320lbs, while you're at it. Tubeless standard. Seat along lines of 'Mathieu Tech Moto.' Maybe some means to carry charger under seat? Dual, bidirectional USB-c ports for trickle-charging (e.g. Apple has 150W USB-c charger). Thx.

The ONLY way to double your range without spending money is to slow down and don't accelerate as hard. It takes 4 times the energy to go twice as fast, plus add wind resistance. Rolling resistance is pretty stable and doesn't massively increase with speed. But once you are above about 7mph, the rolling resistance is the lesser drain on your energy.

I bin out of commission for the last 5 weeks from surgery. Before surgery I was riding my inmotion v12hs as much as I could 😢. That said I'm 130lbs and I did a 60 mile trip at a average speed of 20 with a spike to 31 a couple times and it was still at 30percent battery I thought that was pretty dam good 👍. I think speed and the difference between rapid acceleration as opposed to gradually increasing speeds while keeping maximums low is the only eco way to ride if you need the range. I have got 35miles on a charge while reaching top speeds most of the time and a lot of fast off the line spanking a old super73 bro who works at the local milk n things and was bragging to much. I'm so undecided about my second wheel choices. Maybe a v11 or go different and get a begode ex.n if I can find one used

Surprised no one seemed to catch this but I noticed you’re measuring the battery capacity in volts, which isn’t exactly right. It should instead be measured in W/h. A higher voltage battery will be able to deliver more power to the motor, enabling you to either go faster or carry more weight (by producing more horsepower or torque), but it won’t increase the range. A higher wattage battery (KWH) won’t allow the motor to go any faster or produce more torque, but it will increase the range. It seems that your UEC has a 2220W/h battery. With the estimated 75 miles range at 25mph you’d be using about 30W per mile. You can increase the voltage, which will allow you to use more power at once, but going higher speeds will drain the battery much faster. You can increase the wattage, but you have to increase the physical size of the battery, increasing weight. Hopefully battery technology gets us to the point where range anxiety isn’t really a common thing lol.

I tend to hover around 20-25 usually, though road riding puts the pressure on to keep up with traffic. My longest rides on my v12 HT have ended around 38ish miles, but with less wind and a willingness to entirely drain the battery, I could probably make it to 40-45. What kneepads are you using in this video? They look more heavy-duty than my Leatts and match the Patton well!

@@zogly9469 which Leatt's are you running if I may ask,, since the Leatt braces are only marginally cheaper, I was considering the Leatt X-frames myself. Just putting the following out there for folks who are unaware of the differences; knee braces and guards are different in that the braces prevent against rotative injuries and vertical impact (like stomping your foot into the ground real hard) as well; I'll be getting them soon, have been holding off cuz it is highly recommended that one go in person to test the fit out, as different makes and models fit differently, and if the fit is no good you are left with a very expensive knee guard!

Nice video! Slowing down and sitting can considerably increase range, yes! But what's the basis for saying that fast charging and low-battery mode will harm the battery? 15A charging on the Sherman-S is still way inside the Samsung 50E specs of 2.45A per cell/pack, and low-battery mode allows each cell to go down to 2.9V, something that's always been standard on KingSong wheels (they go down to 3.0V). Many say that but where is the actual data that supports these claims?

I get 26miles out of my S18, did 26 mph at one point 🙂 Did 30 miles on the master today, absolutely lovely on a really pretty route mostly single track road with over topping trees, estuaries and the sea. On "The Lizard", Cornwall, in the UK. Sweet spot for me these days is low to mid 20's.

There is a fact that is a bit uncomfortable to talk about an that is weight .... I once lost 25 kg (55 pounds ) and my old Tesla turned in to a new wheel .☺ faster acceleration and longer range .

I had wanted this, but additional layers of casing would add both to size and weight, prob why we haven't seen them yet.

Am I the only person that the cops thought I was wearing a keflar bullet proof vest instead of a motorcycle vest and start tripping and going for their guns? Eventhought even if I did have that vest its not a crime???

I loved this video so much I watched it 10 times, which leads me to ask, How hard is it to get a replacement kick stand for the Patton?, I have been having great fun on my Veteran Patton. Today marks the one week point of me being a EUC rider. Learning to ride an EUC for the first time on Leperkim Patton is a doable thing. I am 55 years old and I have had bunch of fun the very first week as I have learned to ride it. This little video chronicles my first week of EUC riding. studio.kzbin.info_FfEQCRYwWg

I would think you could contact the distributor you got it from to get one. The outer components are pretty modular. It seems to me they wanted them to be easy to swap out when damaged so things like that should be easy enough to get.

very easy to do, just six hex screws and you can swap in a new one.

‌John 3:16 Modern English Version (MEV) ‌ ‌16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. ‌ ‌John 14:6New International Version (NIV) ‌ ‌6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 16:31 New International Version (NIV) 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.” ‌ John 3:36 New international version 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,(A) but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. ‌John 20:28King James Version (KJV) 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Acts 4:12 New International Version (NIV) 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” 1 John 2:22King James Version (KJV) 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 2 John 7 New International Version (NIV) 7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Riding 10 mph is like a chicken with only 1 leg crossing in front of a pack of hungry wolves and calling them all pussies! I for one dont want that target on my back.

Haven't been to forest Hills park. Would you say that it had good trails for EUC? I have a V12 HT. Thanks and your content is so top tier!

Hopefully 2024 is the year they start making these EUCs much lighter, speed and torque is only fun if the wheel is light and nimble.. my opinion 😅
