The best thing is that I'm sure it's all real. He usually does field recordings and just sits outside with a mic in various locations and records "found" sounds he encounters in nature. So all the birds, waves, crickets, are actual outside recordings from him.

This song reminds me of my childhood. I grew up in Duluth, MN, and I could see lake Superior just looking out my bedroom window. And every summer my parents would take us kids to Bayfield, and we'd get ice cream and pick blueberries. It was a really special time for me, and I can't believe I didn't hear this song sooner!

Im from Ashland which is right next to Bayfield. We go boating almost every wknd out of Bayfield and all around the islands and to Madeline a lot. And let me say that he hit the nail rite on the head with this song, love it!!! Hearing it always makes me wanna be out there!!! Sweet frickin song dude!!!
