That pneumatic trailer you mentioned at about 41 min, I used to be a mill operator and scale master at a limestone plant, our scale was extremely old and out dated, so the orientation of it wasn’t meant to scale out or load those types of trailers, every time I see one I am filled with dread. lol

On my role-playing profile, I follow the rule that limits a driver to 11-driving hours between 10-hour rest intervals. I also plan on being off the road at least one hour before my driving time runs out.

Wanted to reserve my first comment for this series for ep15, cause that's the most recent at the point I'm typing this, but I've really been into this! Stumbled onto your channel as I was considering a career into trucking (or logistics in general), cause most of the games I play involved me doing trading most of the time anyway. You entertain really well, and I love how you speak with such a distinguishable accent that makes me think you were an actual trucker even without saying you were. Though honestly i'm scared about my trucking prospects here in the Philippines, cause almost all the trucks and their drivers I see here are impoverished and ill-maintained. I was hoping I could use this series as my inspiration to really try and give freight hauling a shot (even though I don't yet have a license, hahah!). Thanks for being you, and I look forward to more of your videos!

So, my driver has never fallen asleep in game, but close...me, on the other hand, I've experienced the road hypnosis while playing and have dozed off a couple times 😬😬😂😂

Mike the solution was simple go to the map put a manual waypoint in to go around the north and bob's your uncle you're there. Never take the re-route it puts you in circles 9 times out of 10.

mike ik u want to keep it as real as possible but u were put in a situation where u couldnt avoid the sleepoing fine . i think what u should do is just turn of the sleep simullation its under above traffic fines if thats your last load and u cant possiblly make it to a rest stop . that to me kinda seems unfair to just have to waste most of a load cause u couldnt get to a rest stop. u did went thru that roadblock . plus until u get enough money u cant afford to get some fine u cant avoid . u did say this also some what for fun. if u think u can make it go for it but fpr 45 minutes yeah u are getting fined tbh idk why u even got to the red bed icon u looked at the trip and it 8 hours till next rest stop and the trip was like 3 hours. plus that extra hour so u should ahve at least 2 hours left

I do not see a sleep anywhere mod that would follow your sleeper. It would be cool to be able to find a hide away place that'll "let" you sleep there for the night. Would be a little more realistic for those trying to be realistic, sometimes you don't always get pick where you sleep when you play with your hours 😂😂

I definitely think the game does that on purpose, it’s always your exit that’s shut down then it creates traffic jams to try to make you late and give you a sleeping violation.

It is very much so done intentionally, and they don't hide that. You have a setting to control your detour frequency.

If you are falling asleep press f1 to pause the game and wait till it goes away and be safe

If you are struggling to break out in to traffic jams like when you needed a nap after the first drop, put your 4 ways / hazards on and the AI will be more likely to give way to you... Save introducing your nose to the side of a vehicle :)

Question about something from one of the early videos in this series. I'm pretty sure when you were taking quick jobs, you had a choice of the style of trailer you used for the job. I don't think I've seen that in that game. Is it a mod? In which case which one? Or does it only happen with certain jobs?

I've worked on the receiving end of lorry deliveries in the UK. Never once have I heard of a delivery being considered late when the driver is already in the yard maneuvering. That seems very unrealistic

23:15 ahhh yes, never s rest stop when need that's why need to make it so you can shut the truck off and throw the keys on the dash and have a quick break on the side of the road. I've been thus situation day k104b cow in the middle and a t404 day cabs. You get that point you just pill over apply the brakes, shut her off and throw the keys on the dash
