I sold my RSV about 8 years ago and really regret it. I’m looking to get another. You’re right about it being an everyday bike. I commuted to work (25 miles) with some town and heavy traffic, it was great. I toured around France with luggage over 3000 miles in a week, it was awesome and I did a few track days at Donnington, Mallory Park and Cadwell. It was amazing! The handling is exceptional and made me a better rider. I had no reliability issues at all riding year round in England. Great vid thanks - I’d never ride in just a t shirt though!

@@lordofbiscuits1911 Cresson, Eagles Canyon, and they just opened the new G2 Motorsports park in Anna, east of Frisco. All great tracks. COTA and Harris Hill near Austin and MSRH near Houston, too. We have it pretty good around here. Those classic names like Mallory Park, Cadwell, and Donnington are iconic places that would be worth riding just for the nostalgia.

Also twin custom stainless exhausts and superchip.. its an animal but it does exactly what you want it to... 30mph nice, 150mph nice...love it. Hi, thank you for sharing that video ! I love italian machines and am considering to get a gen1 Mille (since a duc is out of my budget range). I am currently reading up about them and learned that they do require some care and attention, e.g. suspension bearings(yearly when driven a lot) a stonger batery(230cca) a 150 amps starter selenoid (a yamaha one if im correct) Do you know or can you link me to a source that has more things to watch out for in gen1 aprilia mille's? Coollino HD Hello. My stator has failed three times. It once took out the reg/rec and battery too. The fix is to buy the 370watt rotor and remove the 500watt. The 500w creates too much charge and fries itself while overloading the system. It’s an expensive fix but if you are buying and fitting new standard stators frequently you can soon spend the same amount as the permanent fix would cost (2004-7, they went back to 370watt in 2008, I believe). See the KZbin video made byGriff Woolley) at Aprilia performance UK for more information on this.

All Things Automotive it just depends on your mech experience. If you’ve worked on cars and bikes for a while, it’s nothing. The thing to be cautious of on an Aprilia is any electrical connections and the wiring harnesses. They’re notoriously touchy. And while you’re at it and you have the air box off, it’s a good idea to calibrate your engine vacuum settings both front and back. Makes a big difference in torque when they’re equalized. Peace!

I love mine and think it has more "character" than inline 4s. Its not as fast and the online 4s but still a ton of fun. There is a bit of vibration, but some good bar end weights help. So long as you don't stay at constant throttle forever you're good.
