Hi, thanks for the final review; I use a cheap linear PSU from China, it provides 0 - 15V at 5 amps max; so far the unit has proved to be reliable.

You're welcome! Most power supplies, even the cheapest ones form China, usually work out of the box. I guess I was really unlucky with that unit. Anyway, if it still runs after 10 years you can call it "quality" ;-)

Great Review. Very informative. Will love to see a similar review for Rigol DP711

Thanks for the praise! Unfortunately I currently don't need a second lab power supply, and I don't want to shell out 350 bucks for a RIGOL DP711 just to review it. But maybe RIGOL sees this and sends me a demo unit ;-)

What's the Rigol rival for Owon P4305 you mentioned at the end of the video?
@robertssmorgasbord2 жыл бұрын
@@mrv4757 That would be the Rigol DP711 (also 30V/5A/150W, but goes for about 350€).

James Maganga's comment has been removed, because it just contained a link to an adult website and some Chinese garble.

I've removed the comment by Esteban Hontz because it contained a (now broken) link to an adult website.

Great finish to your review, seems an OK supply if your demands are not to high, I wonder if the RS232 issue can be fixed with some stout cable and a cap ?...cheers.

Thanks! And yes, the RS232 issue should be easy to fix by botching a 1uF capacitor onto that serial interface board. Something I'll probably do as soon as the warranty period is over. But then I'll need a proper USB to RS232 converter, 'cause the Chinese one won't take the negative voltages :-)
