Kare-kare is a common Filipino dish made from tendered Ox Tripe (or Ox tail any meat) combining with Sauce made from Peanut paste, then mixed with vegetables. It is best combined with bagoong to enhance its flavor
Ingredients:
Meat:
Tuwalya ng Baka (Ox Tripe)
or any of your choice
Vegetables:
Puso ng Saging (Banana Blossom)
Talong (Eggplant)
Pechay Tagalog
Sitaw (Long beans)
For sauce:
Bawang (Garlic)
Sibuyas (Onion)
Giniling na Mani (Peanut Paste)
Annatto Seeds - oil only
Giniling na Bigas (Rice flour)
Seasoning:
Fish sauce
Beef cubes
Rock salt
Salt and Pepper
Other:
Cooking oil
Water, ice
Bagoong
