Just finished the game this weekend. The characters were better in the 1st game and the dialogue was better, however I loved how they tied that game into this one. The ending was also solid. I chose Olivia to go in because she was annoying, but I never really understood why you would choose Jacob to go in. I had to go back and watch that ending because Idk how anyone wouldve chose him after everything. It was either Riley or Olivia Also I am a little upset Evelyn didnt have much story. I decided at some point I couldnt trust her so I never radioed in when I set up each transmitter. I thought maybe she was with the other kids and would have a better chance to stop me. So the last half of the game I just rarely used my walkie and she never called me either

At some point I didn't trust her either. She just sounded like she was against you throughout the game.

At one point in the game, if you radio her, she'll act like she doesn't know you and tells you not to contact that channel again unless it's an emergency. (I think this is after the third transmitter is installed and set up.) Weirdly enough, Riley has no dialogue to contribute to this odd forgetfulness.

Yeah, you can definitely tell this was a Covid production. The voice overs seem done from home when it comes to quality. It's a shame that great story telling games seem to do worse with sequels, but maybe that's just a fact for all great stories in any media.

I told him to open it because of the story he told, he always wanted to do something great and incredible to step where no one else has. Besides the tears (I assume that’s what he was encountering) are mainly harmless.

Though the only downside of this is that Alex now has to live with the trauma of being stuck in a time loop that probably lasted for years. But judging by her behavior, I think she can live with that.

i just beat the game yesterday with my friend and we sent Oliva to the other side because she wanted it the most, not sure about the ending with i am guessing Rex opening the box but i loved the first game which i just played last year for the first time and feel really luck i got to play the 2nd so quickly lol

I feel like such a dingus. First I tried to pick Jacob because Riley is pregnant and has Rex to think about, and Olivia is a child. Jacob is an adult who throughout the game had conversations with Riley about not wanting to be a handyman, feeling like a failure, wanting to do something bigger than himself, so I thought the game was leading to Jacob staying to do something bigger than himself to save everyone. Then when Jacob says no, I picked Riley because I just couldn't see past the fact that Riley was the adult and Olivia the child who obviously hadn't had anyone to help her deal with the grief of losing her parents, but should have the opportunity to have a life ahead of her. I was bummed out that the ending didn't give us any insight into how things turned out for Olivia after Riley makes the decision to save her :(

The only way Jacob would've refused is because you were nice to him throughout the game, if you wnated him to fit you'd have to be rude to him and lie when given thr option, personally I think the best ending for me was choosing Olivia and I know your probably disgusted that i said that, but think about it, she wanted it, and frankly I didnt have any sympathy since she was the one who wanted to screw things up and possibly destroy the world because she wanted to see her parents again, tbh I think the game was telling us that no matter how any people you save, at the end someone is gonna have to sacrifice themselves to save everyone.

From what I have seen on KZbin, if Jacob or Riley enter the portal, Olivia is a messed up kid who leaves Camena and needs therapy. I wonder if there’s an ending where she’s happy.

Same. Olivia might hate Riley, but she’s a kid who gets to grieve and have a life. The joy of being reunited can only last so long. Can’t imagine what being stuck for eternity would have done to her. And definitely not Jacob. He has an art career to pursue and a dog who loves him. I just couldn’t deprive them of the life they could have, especially knowing Riley’s looked so bleak.
