Hi Tom! When I was a Rock DJ at WCFL-FM in Chicago in 1991, Jimy Sohns of The Shadows of Knight was a guest in the studio with me one Sunday evening. I played “Gloria” by Them The Shadows of Knight, and The Oxford 5. So your version did receive airplay in Chicago!

A fantastic little rocker, so typical of the 60s in general and 1967 in particular love the mellotron the harmony and the song in general. Speaks of a very different time that sadly has all but disappeared. So idealistic, a little treasure!

OK. The COVID "stay at home" order seems to be working. I can't think of any other reason why I even remembered this record. Seems to me they were mostly Seaholm High - Class of '67. I believe the bass player was Tom Brody. Give me a day or two. Perhaps I'll remember some of the others.

I spelled that wrong. Should be "Brodie" and he was a year older that I thought (graduated H.S. in '66). This may be incorrect, but I seem to recall that the keyboard player was Tom Berd.

Tom Brodie was bass player. The keyboard player was me. 😁 Spike Burton was rhythm guitar, lead guitar was Chris Charlton (deceased), and Dave Wietersen was drums. On this recording, drums were played by John Bruegel. Spike and I went to Groves, the others were at Seaholm.
