Yep that’s exactly how mine went and I had a tear in it were the number plate is and mirrors we do get strong winds we’re we are , I borrowed the old man’s rain cover it dose the job very heavy duty compèred to the Oxford but dose suffer really bad with condensation, I’ve just ordered 12x10 shed so hopefully will not have to worry about it soon 👍

Same thing happened to mine. I had to glue the tape back on to the seams and the number-plate window perished. Not good for an eighty pound item. They are £60 now

Same happened to mine, be interesting to see if there's a better version out there. I've had two, both leaked significantly in the end.

Pretty poor though they are not cheap to buy, and they should last longer than a couple of years.

I can see that Oxford now recommend re proofing their covers every 6 months with Qxford Rainseal spray to protect against UV and water penetration , wonder if it is because of this issue ?

I knew that you could buy this spray as a treatment, for uv but even so fabric shouldn’t have gone into decay after a year, thank you for your comments, thank you for watching.

I had one that went the same way after a year an Oxford Protex Stretch , another make went the same way a CS Covers one , it had tape outside like the Oxford, it's tapes also lifted away and went green under the tape , I never knew about this spray until recently , just got another new cover so think I will give the Oxford spray a try with this one , nothing to lose lol@@777Ruffdriver

Yes, I have something much better a lorry or truck tarpaulin, which I put over the cover does the job and it’s heavy duty didn’t cost me a thing found it lying around at work wasn’t used anymore.

Out of curiosity is it meant to be a cover for bikes that live outside all year round or say for someone who commutes and just wants to cover it up outside work

No, it’s supposed to be all year round cover for all weathers.

@@777Ruffdriver so if you bought this from sports bike shop, they have a two year warranty on this product. I spoke to them yesterday and all they said was if this happens they will do an instant replacement.
