@@abdulvasay it’s too bad because the gourds / drinks/ soaks are so important for your build and the materials are so limited and can’t be refunded.. I guess it’s something to look forward to in the new games

@@quietlightning4063 So, are the soaks consumables? Do they vanish after brewing or are they permanently unlocked for all drinks to use with?

@@youtubevoice1050 soaks are never consumed. If you want to use a soak for more than one drink at the same time you can. If you have two or more of the same soak you can use them at the same time in as many drinks as you want for the stacking effect. When you brew you can switch the soaks around if you don’t want the same soak/s in all the drinks you use. The only thing you need to do is put the soaks in and out when you brew. If you use the drinks, it seems that the game automatically puts the same soaks in all them. But you can change the soaks manually. I hope this helps.. 👍

Best one so far for me is the supreme with the thousand days, you can dodge while drinking and you wont get impared.

The Benefit of the Supreme gourd is the fact that it has 10 charges where is the other ones have around 5 to 8 on average, and if you make use of bee mountain Stone If you’re lucky you can get around 15 sips from it maybe more maybe less

Great vid I’ve been playing for a while almost at end of 4 chapter, I hurried through chapters initially, now I’m back tracking picking up items, the soaks for me have made a big difference for me. Great explanation!

Hey, thank you for the explanation, it helped a lot. But one thing I still dont understand is, if I should wait to upgrade my gourd/drinks or not. Because later on I probably get better gourds/drinks, right? It feels kind of bad to upgrade them now (Im in Chapter 3, reached Zodiac Village), but on the other hand I kind of make the game harder if I dont upgrade them, right? And as far as I understand I cant respec them and there are not a lot of materials to upgrade them. Really dont know how to handle this decision. I bought the jade gourd from the npc because it gets me 2 more drinks, which is at least a little upgrade from the standard one, but Im still not sure if I should upgrade something now or not. Do you recommend waiting for better gourds/drinks or do you recommend upgrading early on?

@@fabstar5244 in my experience it’s ok to use a few upgrades on the first one and then hold off until you find one you really like to focus on.

Each Gourd must be leveled up individually. I never found a way to "refund" the Gourd leveling to take back those materials. Thankfully the game provides us with plenty of materials. Great questions btw thank you 👍

Man awesome video seriously. You still never actually told us how to use the drink tho…I can’t equip it. When I tap L1 I use my normal gourd. Not my aged coconut wine. Do I switch them? At the shrine in Gourds there’s only the one, it’s separate from the drinks…I’m lost here. Any help would be greatly appreciated

welp ...deathstinger and rooster blood combo is kinda meh ... The whole ritual blocks out 2 soak slots immediately just for movement speed and crit chance, just moderately too. kinda better off using medicine for those benefits and saving gourd for critical moments

All due respect given. This is the worst. Still can't understand why certain gourds come up and then don't. What's the difference between brew and gourds? Why don't all my gourds come up in the upgrade category? Only 2 come up and one is maximum. WTF?

@@stephaniedalia8335 this all seems self explanatory. Some gourds can be upgraded. Most can't. I'm not even sure how you don't understand this, but the gourd is a vessel for your drink, the drink is what's inside of the gourd, the soaks are applied to your drink by brewing. When drinking from your gourd you get the combined bonuses of your drink, gourd and soaks. So the reason some gourds can be upgraded and not others is to balance the gourds. Some drinks can have more soaks than others, and I believe the most a drink can have is 4 (the Loong balm drink). The basic monkey brew will eventually gain a soak slot after so many upgrades.
