SCHOOL'S OUT Labour ‘hypocrites’ vote to abolish private schools - despite Comrade Corbyn’s top team sending their kids to them: Comrade Corbyn may pitch himself as a man of the people, but Corbyn enjoyed an upbringing in comfortable circumstances. He attended a private school in Shropshire from the age of 7 to 11, and then became a day student at a grammar school. Despite attending a selective school himself, Comrade Corbyn’s second marriage collapsed in a row over where his son, Benjamin, should be educated. Diane Abbott, the Left-wing Labour MP, was fighting to salvage her political credibility yesterday after admitting that the decision to send her son to private school was "indefensible". Whether it’s Shami Chakrabarti sending her son to a private school, Emily Thornberry sending hers to selective schools, or Comrade Corbyn putting his own political views ahead of his wife and children, the Labour Party are in no position to lecture anyone on what is best for their family. It’s one rule for the Corbyn, few and another rule for the many.

his argument is that parental education, resources and engagement are the main factors influencing child performance. this is, undoubtedly, something the opposition had just used to say "private schools are not the problem". he uses this opposition data against them to say: without private schools, these advantageous children will do just as well, but by unifying the type of people in a school, you'll both get a better environment, better education because the rich will ensure the quality standard is met for their children, and youll allow classes to be pushed by the overachievers that would otherwise be concentrated in the private schools, thus combating the monstrous influence of bad parenting in a child's academic career. ingenious argument that's being strawmanned and ridiculed by those who couldn't even grasp it.

His argument is to place limits the few that can slog through a public education and still have a decent life (instead of a wonderful life) in hopes of inspiring the masses to do a bit better. This man would pluck a birds wings to make the squirrels feel better.

The rich parents who are interested in their children having a good education at private school would turn their interest to that of state schools if their kids went there. Either way those rich kids are getting an assured good quality of education whilst poorer kids finally benefiting. The only advantage rich kids are losing is the majority of everyone else being disadvantaged compared to them so they have more competition basically. Also it’s not like smart kids who may also be rich have to put up with stupid kids. There is something called sets. The smart kids regardless of background will separate themselves.

@@dracon501 I see you aren’t really a person who has collective and community values more individualist mindset. So let me put it this way you aren’t exerting extra effort just concentrating your efforts in improving whichever school your child goes to and through that disadvantaged children will indirectly benefit as well, even if you aren’t directly trying to help them. The system of common schools has contributed to making Finland one of the top education systems in the world. The same trend has been seen in France too.

I disagree, i wanna save my generation now and next by meaning you must protect your children not caused by money or any material that ordered. We need rule model for our generation to make our people look more bright forward, perhaps it could be said as a privilege things like Malala who still learns there or Aung san shu chi got nobel prize not always about material things only, sadly if our generations just workship money but their mentalities and behaviors are broken, sadly. "Education must be served same in every individual, group, or society in the state, country, or region. ". 🌐🇬🇧♥️

Ordinary Schools not (private or public) that have been turned into Academy's are a disaster, they are ruled by Companies who are not interested in education at all 😮I have to say about your comments on comprehensive schools which incidentally l went to, was very good but that was years ago and it was in a nice area, those that are not in good areas and have diversity on a greater scale are fraught with problems as many come from deprived backgrounds, especially nowadays, as these schools cannot keep teachers because of the unruly situations with pupils, what is being indoctrinated in them is, they can do as they like with no rules or discipline or consequences for bad behaviour. So think on, about what you are saying, you should be glad you have had the best education, which gives you the opportunity's that 10:14 otherwise you would not have had and you probably would not be in the position you are now in, if it were not for the education you had?😮

As someone who has experience within both the state and private education system, it is absurd to even suggest that they are a disaster. The levels of opportunity both academically and co-curricular are exceptional in comparison, however my public school was made up of a massive proportion of scholarship and bursary students who were allowed to undertake such chance under merit - not this inaccurate proclamation of wealth or class. Instead of looking at the constant successes of the Privatised education sector and critiquing it, the root of the problem must be addressed of inadequate state school structural formula and government funding. It is in fact the donations of the geographically close public schools that have such benefit for the schools around them and the Government (whether it be Labour or Conservative) needs to re-evaluate its public spending and systematic approach. The constant narrative of dictating an unequal opportunity actually creates a larger disparity as lots of state school children take a victimised and overtly negative view on life and the world around it. Furthermore, there is an unwarranted aggression towards the private school occupants and schools with derogatory tones and catchphrases. The real problem in this Great Nation is that we are becoming so cynical of our previously "proud" and "prosperous" traditional attributes such as schooling, instead of focusing on an improvement of the public educational sector which involves roughly 93% of the population. Eradicating the most successful parts of society may supposedly create 'equality of chance', but who wants a Great Britain that instead of having some amazing schools and some less so - has a schooling system that is flawed everywhere.

Respectfully disagree I was at an excellent private school in Ireland and believe there is a difference
