The difference between this and the Grime scene that followed it is that these guys had great word play and rhyming skills, they also have produced structured music. Grime was just a very high tempo with often uninteresting ryhmes. I don't hate it but I think after So Solid Crew, Oxide Nutrino and the general garage scene UK hip-hop took a step back for a while.

He’d be dissing a load of people, mostly the Dreem Teem who refused to play their tunes cos “it wasn’t proper garage” or some shite like that. Also something about George Michael.
