I have read and been told you should shut off the oxygen off first to prevent flash back.

You turn off oxygen first then acetylene

It's rare to find a video like this on KZbin. Just the facts no unnecessary bulshit, simple and to the point. Very much appreciated!!! 👍

After watching many videos on oxy-acetylene setup, this is by far the best. Well done

Great Job! For viewers, a safety pointer I was taught is to always turn your face away from the gauges when initially cranking them open, especially if you haven’t used the tanks in a while. Even with the safety glasses (a must ). Thanks for the refresher. Thumbs up.👍

I just watched the video and went out and set it up just like you said. I need to do some practice, but I got it to work the best I ever have. It all goes to show you have to have the right person as a tutor

This was a very good tutorial. Especially the part where you showed how to adjust the flame when the trigger is depressed. Only thing that confuses me is how does the oxygen valve adjust the mixture when the trigger is depressed without messing up the mixture when you let the trigger go.

I've never seen an oxy bottle painted red
@donpiho8471
The complete setting up tutorial, most I've seen just jumpstart on setting on the flame and oxy without turning the correct right gauze pressure numbers.

I've been in construction for 32 years... I used to get my information from the library using the Dewey Decimal System to locate where in the building filled with thousands of books I could find the book that I was looking for that was going to give me the information I needed...
@LXBACK
Most informative video on how to set up the regulators.

Excellent video for a refresher. He went over everything I needed, and I successfully cut through 3/8 inch metal like butter
