I though it was just me. I dont understand why the game does not just intuitively follow the que of commands OTHER than to add difficulty to the game. Even with setting priority to the highest level it does not seem like the game really cares and it almost always shows up in emergency situation. Its the only thing I do not like about the game

I needed them to pick something important up, stopped all other tasks and set priority to the max, and they still ignored it. On top of that they wouldn’t use the thing that keeps their happiness up so I had one running around destroying everything because that was their thing they did when they got to stressed.

it's really to avoid extreme inefficiency I think. I found that if something's gone really needs immidate attention, I use yellow alerts or Red Alerts.@@jrich436

I think it was to add immersion. Since dupes wouldnt understand foreign markings, we wouldn't either, even though it looks like it's from our planet.
