I have OP12 now with Oxy15 and the other phone is Pixel 7 Pro with latest Android 15. Comparing the two, OxygenOS 15, with all it's optimisation and features, simply is better for me.

Dynamic Island and ability to change icon pack alone beats Pixel's launcher (not to mention the alphabet bar in the app tray, animations, etc. etc.). But...I am using a pixel so kind of stuck. And yes I know there are apps that attempt to duplicate the dynamic island but in my experience even the best one(s) can be janky.

You do realize there's apps for dynamic island that I can easily add on my pixel 😂 so that's not good enough of a flex for oneplus

@@passivevii4052 As I mentioned in my comment, I have tried them all and the one I am using now is the best of the bunch, but still janky with certain things, it'll never be as good as something built in. But even setting that completely aside, I miss my Galaxy with OneUI, there was so much more you could do with it than the Pixel.

True, I also missed dynamic island. The one app, that somewhat comes close, is Dynamic Spot. It does a pretty good job at replicating the experience and lets you customize it more than the original feature.

Both of them are custom available, you can swap Pixel use Oxygen and OnePlus use Pixel Experience. 😄

That AI feature that is always ready at the bottom of the screen is the feature I use most on my Pixel. It's very convenient, I would never find another phone without it.

@tuurtaburco Right now only Pixel & some Samsung flagship have that feature and I'm not talking about Google Assistant here. I'm sorry if I'm mistaken. Yes, in terms of performance Pixel is a bit left behind from competition but from my experience it's get the jobs done. And there are other useful features only Pixel offer which I use most of the times.

The whole point of quick settings is to be quick. Each quick icons or settings on the pixel UI are showing will full name and occupy so much space. One slide to bring the quick settings panel only shows you 4 settings, to view more you have to slide down again and slide to the right, OMG that's so annoying. There's not even an option to keep the panel to just icons. We have been using smartphones for more than a decade, who finds their quick settings by reading the name of that setting. We know what symbol is for what, for gods sake.

In my opinion, 1 + makes better devices than Google so, this really isn't a question. Furthermore, the Android version that is utilized on Pixel devices is far from stock. Today, both offer a lot of customizations and function smoothly. However, if I were to choose a pixel device I'd be stuck with an iPhone clone with a mid-range processor. That being said, I will always choose oxygen os.

the AOD clock analog transition on pixel outmatch any other. i had an pixel 8p and upgraded to oneplus 12 cuz storage shortage, i find pixel's animation is less flashy but way more thought out then oneplus. even on other brand. I felt like oxygen os 15 is neat and good, but things like music playback thing on aod looks yanky and break the elegance, however pixel has the streamlined design all very well made in all scenarios. felt like if oneplus put 30% of their marketing in their software dev team it would be match made in heavens. they lack the finesses, back since oneplus 7pro. on the other hand pixel has quite ''outdated'' hardware and floated price. sigh.
