Great video. For those who might be interested in knowing...SSD's will also provide great speeds via direct USB 3.1/Type C connections (non-RAID 0). Using a Samsung 850 EVO SSD (500G), I was able to get 547 MBs (read) / 507MBs (write) simply by using a good USB 3.1 Gen 2/Type C >>to >> SATA adapter cable (SSD to iMac 27" running Boot Camp). That said, I achieved better speeds using a SSD via USB 3.1 than the results in this video running a RAID 0 via USB 3.0....very interesting! That goes to show the connection type does make a difference. I'm thinking about purchasing this enclosure for the purpose of setting up RAID 0 using (2) 1TB SSDs....which should produce similar speeds as shown 795-821MBs +/-

IDStudio7 I bought this one to use with 2 Samsung EVO 860 SDD’s and set them up in RAID 1. Can I format in the new APFS ?

It is probably the cable, had similar issue with different enclosure brand, only got 38MB/s write speed. After using different cable (the short one that came with the enclosure) the write speed increased 10 times to almost 400MB/s. Hope this comment helps others!

@@RoVeL999 I tried different cables too. I ended up resetting it. I’m going to see if the speed still holds up today and update this.
