Any food item can get contaminated and cause food poisoning I think... So why not mushrooms... But if you are saying that you harvested a bunch of fresh and healthy mushroom and in time between harvesting and cooking can it get contaminated then the answer is No... But you have to make sure that this time period should not be longer than 2 days and if kept refrigerated then it should not be longer than one week
