What a hike and rewarding view. Adding this to my bucket list. I now call it my 50 by 50. Not only do I want to loose 50lbs by the time I turn 50, but I also want to hit 50 goals by 50. I'm turning 49 this coming year and there is so much I've not done in life. Thanks for the inspirations!

Hello Cody and Kellie! Love the stufff and places you guys go! Me and the hubby watch your stuff all the time. Just a heads up we to had a 2008 Chevy truck 2500 HD Diesel (I know yours is newer) but we had the same problem anytime we took a hill on the freeway or certain speed, the truck would go into Limp mood.with check egine light. What fixed ours was a CP3 or 4 pump was replaced and never had the trouble again. Hope this will help you guys in diagnosing the problem. Safe Travels.

Reduced Power Problem. Hey Folks, love the channel. Anyway I've experienced the same type of issue on a Chevy Impala and the dealer and auto repair shops could never diagnose the problem. Long story short replace your accelerator pedal. They are plug and play and will cost you about $150. The issue is when they go bad they send false signals to the computer that you are over accelerating (like the Toyota problems). The computer either over accelerates like Toyota or under accelerates or under power/stop like Chevy or Ford. Simply replace the accelerator pedal. I did it on my Chevy Impala and problem solved! Goat Trail bluff and trail is not for the weak. A great view. In 2016 saw to high school boys push / carry a friend in a wheelchair to Hawksbill Craig.

Beautiful scenery!! Gonna have to take a trip there soon from north central Texas!! I am going to talk to a very good friend of mine who is head diesel mechanic at my local Ford Dealership. Crua. insulated pop up tent insert goes inside the tent, blows up and it insulated the tent. Expensive but great for winter camping, great Christmas present for Jonathan.

Cody take your time and eliminate one thing at at time on your truck and eventually you will find the problem. Diesels must never get or allow air into the fuel system that is a huge issue , all the best. I love Texarkana !

Second that @lacieamiller1558 The check engine light would go on every time on a certain grade or hill on freeway and instant limp mode. The dealer thought it was the fuel injectors at $1000 an injector so 8 would be a lot. After reading and researching on forums on the internet (and theres alot) I took it to my mechanic buddy and he ended up replacing the CP3 pump (bought a special tool to remove it so they didnt have to take the cab off) and after that the truck ran with no problems. Maybe this will speed your repairs along so you can get back to traveling without the headaches of your truck not wanting to run like it should!

We went on that hike to Whitaker Point and it was amazing! The drive to the trailhead was definitely challenging. We were pulling our camper!!! Needless to say, we made some fun memories with our kids!!😂

Cody. A long time ago I had a bad fuel injector in a Ford. Only did at at highway speeds & only on a long hill. Left it for 30 days with a trusted small shop. He has passenger seat strapped with several test unit. He thought I dreamed up the problem, after almost tank of fuel that he ran every time he had time to test drive it. It finally showed it self.

Sounds like the fuel pump driver module that did the same to my F-150. It communicates with the pressure sensor to run the fuel pump. $50. I like you're recipes. Keeps me motivated for something new while truck camping.

Buffalo River is awesome. Some interesting caves to visit. The river is a wild protected river. Water clear as glass. Great place to raft, kayak. I stayed one night at Tyler Bend NP campground. Nicely spaced campsites. Hot showers. Little bit of road noise though. That truck. Disconnect the fuel filter. Check for contaminant between filter and tank. Backflush filter to check for contaminant.

Vehicle issues suk for sure. We’re currently looking for a f350 and a truck camper. We’re moving from a tundra and feel like we’re going to pay 60k for a bunch of headaches and problems but there are no alternatives for 1 ton trucks so we’re full steam ahead

I was at lake fort smith. Hiked the Boston mountain trail. Only did five miles got a late start. Going back next week to do the shepherd spring loop. And your not kidding about hiking versus walking. I walk an average of six miles a day for the last year. And now that I’m traveling I took up hiking. I was winded a few times climbing up the trail. But I’m having a blast.

Nice video guys. Had that situation of vehicle shut down with my Dodge van once and it turned out to be tied to the exhaust system. It was a faulty sensor. I disconnected it for a while and never had the issue again.

Poor Jonathan. I would have slept on the floor and just got up if one of you needed to go to the bathroom. Would have bothered me at all to be warm. You do turn the heat down though, which makes sense, so he really may have been warmer that you. :) 30 lbs per week (winter, 2 weeks summer) don't seem that bad to do what you do with it though. I think you hook up the outside cooker to it too. Merry Christmas to you all, and Jonathan's GF.

We had the same problem 2 years ago except our entire fuel system blew. The entire system was replaced then we lost power 1300 miles out. Found a dealer 20 miles away. Check the intake and out take pipes on the turbo, one of ours was not seated right and it blew off. We were back on the road in < than one hour.

This was gorgeous !!! As far as the truck.....good luck. I had trouble with my van losing power and it wound up being a crank shaft sensor. It took MULTIPLE parts replaced, and not the problem, and then finally figuring out what the heck was wrong. Mine was not a diesel tho.....so I know diesel engines are much more complicated.
