Came across your review video and you sold me on this neat little stove just picked one up at Wal-Mart yesterday. Building out my camper shell on my 1988 ford ranger and it's going to be perfect on my camping adventures this winter. Cool little stoves,and yes butane is more btu. That said I opted for the coleman gas stove, I have the 414 dual fuel powerhouse, it burns white gas, unleaded gas, diesel, kerosene, alcohol, and with a $20 add on piece, propane also. Mine connects to 1lb or 20lb tanks, this is truly a stove that can run on anything,and as far as btu's, most of the liquid fuels burn hotter than butane. Altitude and temp doesnt effect most liquid fuels. It's definately a SHTF stove, there rated 17,000 btu 2 burner on white gas, main burner 10,000, second burner 7,000 btu

They are good stoves, but I suggest taking the fuel canister completely out of the housing while in motion traveling. I had mine engage and waste an entire can of fuel from hitting a pothole. I would also have plenty of fuel canisters beforehand if traveling to a high tourism area.

We're prepping for the "ten days of darkness" that's coming next month (Oct) or after the election, so this is how we will heat soup, make max & cheese, boiling eggs and water for hot chocolate or tea! We can use our outdoor propane grill w/side burner for anything else, but for this price...I'll opt for the indoor cooking in the morning! I bought one today. Was really surprised how nice it was. Boiled my little shrimp boil real quick. Used hardly any gas. WAY better than those little tiny stoves like the 2nd one you showed. Those things suck and are top heavy and dangerous to cook on.

I love this stove also but every since I got this stove from Walmart it’s hard to find the Butane for it I’m a new camper well been camping for about 2 yrs I don’t know how to use anything else that can attach to it besides the red Butane

They have these butane canisters in both Walmart stores where I live. I just looked online and Ace Hardware has them in stock. It also showed you can order them from Amazon. At Amazon, you can buy 8 canisters for $21. Now, that is a great deal.

The gas dial shouldn't disengage the canister brother. That's what the little press down lever next to the dial is for. Down is engage up is disengaged, it also must have the pot stand face up or you cannot engage the canister as a safety. Great little stoves!

Just got one. Since butane burns hotter; how does the chef cook eggs? Example is the cook time less? Will the lowest setting still be to much heat? I've never used butane as a fuel source. Is butane safe in small spaces like a tent or shed? Is butane safe to heat with?

Butane is safe as propane as long as you keep a window slightly open. I would not use it in a small space like a tent. As for as cooking times, comparing it to propane, it is pretty much the same. Butane is more efficient and a cleaner gas than propane but propane burns hotter and is better for really cold temperatures butane is good till about zero degrees centigrade

Propane cylinders can explode also. Usually, explosions only happen from a leaking cylinder. Fumes explode ---not the gas itself. Fumes have to be trapped in an enclosed area to ignite an explosion. I have been using butane and propane since I was 16 years old. Not one time have I had an explosion. I am 56 years old. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I double check when I use it because sometimes if it is not engaged correctly, it will not properly seat in the correct position. Thanks for sharing this information.
