I appreciate your work comparing cordage that is easily found in US stores. Good stuff, man.

I'm just not seeing a reason to complain at the price. I wouldn't repel with it, but for 95% of use cases, it will work just as well.

As an outdoors person and not using it for anything materialistic or fashionable, I always go polyester because it withstands the outdoor elements its always exposed to. Ridgelines and guy lines and securing small loads mainly. Find knots to be more secure and workability more manageable. Never really use it for anything close to its rating. If you're pushing high work loads you're just using the wrong cordage in general lol. Either one will get you by and you'll learn your own preference in short time using it on your specific application. My go to is the para max from paracord planet. 1200lb - 1/4 line, stuff works amazing for any and all camping needs

I didn't realize the changes - I LOVED the HD 1100 I picked up a few years ago - Today I went back to Wal-Mart and without even thinking picked up the Ozark Trail 1100 🤪🤔😮😵💫. I am sure it will serve well as a ridge line and the only other thing is that polyester doesn't stretch - sooooo there's that.
@briangilbert90772 жыл бұрын
At the bright side, at least the polyester Paracord has less stretch than the nylon. I prefer nylon also, but the polyester has it's uses also. It's better for simple tie downs since it has less stretch the knot synches down and tends to stay put

it would be interesting to see a tensile strength and breaking point test between them all because why pay 3x 4x more for the use we need? for camping or bushcraft maybe and most likely the cheap one are good enough for the jobs or why do we need the expensive one for? , cool videos thanks!

I like to thank you for this kind of info. And i have gotten some paracord from Wal-Mart it work's ok and it's cheep and all i have done is a little weaving but to really testing the strength I've been unable to get out to put to a test but i have not seen paracord that was made from U. S. A. From Wal-Mart here in Baltimore Maryland And my family came off the May Flower ship. And thanks for this kind of info. You put out for us and i hope you stay and keep cool and peace to you and your family and friends ✌.

I use the ozark trail brand alot and have never had any issues, i can understand wanting the best cordage possible but most people who use paracord will never push it past its intended limits, and if you have any doubt you might then buy actual rope, good video though

Is this good for let's say If i happen to fall down a 20 ft hole and couldn't get out but i had an entire 1000lb roll like that, can I toss it like lasso and climb up outta the hole? I'm only like 140 pounds

I really like how the Ozark trail Paracord kinda resembles the original UST Paracord only difference is the original UST is 100% nylon while the Ozark trail Paracord is polyester instead of nylon so what your getting there is an original UST Paracord wannabe

You have already made lots of paracord videos. Are you desperate for content?
@jiujitsu20004 жыл бұрын
that's an excellent question. Nope I'm not hurting for content I have had several people asking about this specific paracord so I thought I would do the video for them Thank you for stopping by.

@@jiujitsu2000 i like your videos i watch every time you upload. I really love your camp stove and flash light videos but I guess I find paracord videos a bit boring when you have done lots. Sorry
