You should still open and close the cap on subsequent burns to equalize the pressure. Using heet is a good idea for priming.

Hi Dave , it's very satisfying to get a look back on gear that you have given us a review from a while back. We will be happy ☺to see 👀more like that! And can you please clarify what is your material that is used to insulate under the stove (Svea123)? Thanks!

Dave I have this same kit, no question it is an excellent value for what you are getting.....pretty much crush proof. Though I get the concept that the inner ring of the lid is designed to sit on the smaller pot, that is the one real disappointment with the set. The lids don t need to be as heavy as they are, they merely hold the heat for a quicker boil. It occurs to me they could include two lighter lids that fit both pots for the same weight., and lets face it they are stamped out so there is no significant labor costs in producing the second lid. Also the large lid on the small pot just really sucks.....I solved this issue by borrowing the lid from my Solo Pot 900, it isn't a perfect fit but it was close enough that acquired a second lid from Solo Stove ........of course Al foil works too. Another fine review friend.
@CheezeheadChris5 жыл бұрын
I was able find a couple of lids that fit both pots at my local thrift store for 25 cents each.
@HighCarbonSteelLove5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your excellent comment, Ed! You make some excellent points, although, the lid doesn't bother me too much. You are exactly right...they are simply to hold the heat for a quicker boil. -Dave
