I think you're supposed to clean the jet with the stove running, thats' why it's on the highest setting, to blast stuff out. That's just how I've been taught to do it. Great review of a great stove. My dad has been using one for about 50 years.

Hej I have always been an outdorrs person since the age of 7 going fishing, in the forests, in the countryside. In my later older years i have stayed in more as my wife has cronic pain but i have decided that i still need to be outdoors, so i have decided to try and get out on my own maybe once a week, weather permitting. I have a large tarp which i cut down to a smaller size so i can make a shelter where i can get out of the rain and wind etc and i can make a fire and make a cup of tea or coffee. I have made myself many items that will help me when i am outdoors and in a SHTF situation etc. Which i might say is a great way to be prepared. You never know when a day or days come along and you need the skills or items to help you out. Thanx for the info and campfire chat. PS I have subscribed to youo also.

When opening package, boxes. A folded flap edge makes a great clean/ strop. A few back strokes clean glue and sharpen very easily.

Yeah ! ... The trio we know that. But what about the details of EVERYTHING else he carried?. That's just as important. Yet I can find nothing about it consistent. What little I can find out about it?. The way it reads it's so confusing. That it doesn't make sense. This would make a wonderful informal addition. You're only talking about a small part. Of a much bigger story.

I’ve had this Operator bag in black for 10 years and mostly used it for travel. It’s excellent. The PVC coating inside is disintegrating and leaves flecks on the inside of the bag. But, 10 years is 10 years! No complaints here and it looks like they are like $40 when in stock now. I think I paid $50ish

There seems to be a global shortage of tent stakes and pot hooks. Everybody has to keep making their own. Anybody want to look into that? Could be a business opportunity.

The one thing I learned AFTER buying a new Stihl 212C is that I should have stayed with my dewalt electrics. They start literally every time. Not impressed with Stihl at all. Leaves me beat up and exhausted trying to start the EZ start. It runs when it wants to. period.

I prime mine with the wind screen on and I will heat the tank with my hands and don’t need the straws, it will put fuel out of the jet. But I have been using both of mine since the 1960’s. I have heated MRE’s in plastic before many times.

Appears to be a great knife. Maybe you set yourself up for disappointment that isn't really there when you start looking at other knives. This would be easy to do since there are a million other bushcraft knives out there vying for our attention. A lot of really good ones, too. But how many knives do you need? A couple, three, maybe four? To do different things. I've got a few. Looking to add one. Could be this Condor.
