I've seen a few reviews where QC issues have shown up regarding the "slide lock" getting stuck, and the blades being marginally warped - thankfully the slide lock problems usually show up pretty quickly, and the blade warping isn't enough to affect the functionality of the knife. As you said, it's a $10 knife, and parts of it really show that - but if you don't get a lemon, it's a pretty good $10 knife, and I'd much rather carry and use it than the knife it was obviously patterned after, the Bugout, because I can buy a ton of these knives (assuming Walmart manages to keep them in stock eventually) for the same price as a single Bugout, and I won't really care if they get damaged or lost - that's not the way I'd feel about a $150-$200 knife!

I agree. I have a $200 knife. I seldom take out and use because just so damn expensive. My 10 and $20 ones I use all the time and beat the crap out of.

Its a good service-able knife, medium-light duty tasks only though. Just give it fidget time to break in and the lock will settle. The black coating on the lock bar and scales will wear thin and reveal the silver underlying metal as it breaks in. By lubing it you are (to some degree) slowing the break-in. Lube also attracts dust, dirt and pocket lint. Stone wash denim garments sometimes have residual sand in the pocket, so watch out for that. So your bearings may start to feel gritty. When this happens I use electronic / plastics safe spray cleaner on my knives. Worth the YT hype?... probably not IMHO. But for $10, you can do a WHOLE LOT worse. For the price of a super size McDonalds #1 meal you can get TWO of these knives.

I totally agree. For $10 knife it is really good.

Good luck finding one, they are sold out. I bought a few green ones about 2 years ago. They are very nice. Unfortunately, they are no longer available. They are similar to the Benchmade bugout.

Green would be cool. I got last orange one at local store.
