Daisy has had a calf a year for the past two years. Don’t be sad, I’m sure her having a rest is a good thing for her. I have been watching you all since the beginning and I have enjoyed every minute. Have a wonderful, safe and blessed day! Donna Tapper Raleigh, NC.

I would think it would be safer for Daisy,to let her rest, instead of just constantly keeping her pregnant. She just had a baby, poor thing

Enjoying the "what you eat" video- We too, are using up the things that are expiring, garden produce from the freezer and stuff that has been hanging around for a while. I am learning what I won't be buying in the future and trying to buy less processed foods. We are finding new recipes to try also. I am doing the challenge through at least March.

Hi Janice, I just don't think you know how amazing you & your family are. I wish that if we were given "second chances" on life, I certainly would live mine as close to how you & your family live. Beautiful Godly people and your children are absolutely one of a kind, rare. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family. You bring comfort to many of us. God Bless you. p.s. is there a step by step video on how to begin your sourdough starter from start to finish? Thank you

❤ Janice, loved this video. I don’t know why it is so interesting to see what others eat. 😂 It does though and I love the way y’all used up even all your leftovers. I’ve never had lamb or any lamb derivative. Here’s a funny….in 1977 I was blessed to visit the Holy Land with a day in Paris and a couple of days in Rome. It was my first time to fly. A friend I knew from KY was also going so we paired up in Kennedy Airport. We flew out on Air France. A huge plane!! When the flight attendant came by to get our choices for dinner one if the entree choices was Lamb. She had a lovely little French accent and I had my Southern ears on and I thought she was saying Llama. And I said, “Llama!!” My friend Ron corrected me immediately. 😂 to this day I cannot recall one thing I ate on my trip. Don’t know what if anything I ate on the plane taking us to Paris. 😂 You can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl! 😂 have a good week. Love you all! 🩷♥️ 🐑

My goodness! If you don't work, you don't eat really applies to all those meals. I was longing for some applebutter on a few leftovers 🥞 . I just ate leftover spaghetti with a spoonful of creamy blue cheese dressing on top. Does Rebekah know the song about a fly in the buttermilk? 🙏 It is great you have family to see and enjoy being with. 🧁 😃

Freeze dry the butter milk. I do it all the time. Also it is a lot quicker to use your kitchen aid for butter. I pour off buttermilk and wash the butter in the mixing bowl under a small run of cold water and my hands. A lot less dishes and work. I do butter every day when milking. I store in the freezer too. I hope that helps.

Put her with a bull around you that you trust. AI is also a venture. We used to have cows. We had Beefmaster bulls and cows. They were so gentle. We had a bull named Sweetie. We, our two year old, four month old, my husband, and myself, could walk right up to him in the pasture. He was so gentle. He let our two year old walk up and pet him. They are more of a beef cattle, but their personalities are so sweet on the most part. I laughed so hard about the Fava Beans. No fun?

I just love that you folks eat mostly “real” food - like scrambled eggs and homemade bread - with the occasional (home topped) pizza or packet of something for variety. I really think that’s how most of us eat when we’re trying to be sensible. Most people would want to live solely on good, fresh food but find it hard to do so. You’re proof that eating a packet of pasta or a tin of something, rather than making your own from scratch all the time, is still sensible and provides the variety we all need.
