I agree. I wander the north Georgia region on the weekends, but the SUV is also the “mom’s bus” throughout the week. We have done very little modifications... just enough to ensure we can explore and camp without worrying about getting stuck.

I took the ol ram out in the ouachita national forest this weekend . I have been running them old trails 👣 for years . Many have been closed off , but still lots of fun places to go and see . There are 100s of miles of those forset trails all the way into Oklahoma . Enjoy .

We did a clean up in that area not too long ago. I agree that "just dirt roads" aren't for everyone, but I find value in having the Ouachitas within an hour of the house. A nice Sunday drive through the woods is sometimes just the ticket to relax and enjoy the wildlife that area has to offer. Plus not everyone has a lift or great mud tires and the Ouachita National Forest offers plenty of roads where stock vehicles can take families to creeks and streams to camp and enjoy. Keep exploring and I love the video.

We moved here (NWA) 2 years ago. I’ve absolutely been spoiled with the terrain, the views, the forests, the rivers, streams and lakes are truly amazing. Now I feel like I have a personal tour guide. Thank you so much Matt for doing what you do. All of it, and for exploring the road less traveled….🤘

I LOVE driving the Ouachita National Forest roads. There is not a lot of technical stuff and personally, I like that. My carrier class full size truck likes that too. Hey I'm in the midst of getting into wheeling. Mostly what I'm looking at are late 90- early 2000 xj and I see most on 5-6 in lifts with 33x12.50 or a few on 35x12.50 I was curious what u run for tire size and can 33's get you around pretty efficiently down there or no .. I live about 4.5hrs from eureka springs and want to get down your way or to SMORR just curious how big I really need to go to also use a Dailey driver
@OzarkOverlandAdventures3 жыл бұрын
33s is plenty. I can’t think of a single place in the Ozarks or Ouachitas that you won’t be able to get to with that setup. I run 37s but that’s because Gladiators look dumb with tires smaller than 37s. Lol.
